To start off,I live in VANCOUVER!! Yay! You gotta love the snow in Whistler. High school student hummm... Chinese, 5 feet 8 inches.

バンクーバーは楽しいとおもしろいですね?

Languages spoken fluently:
ENGLISH
CANTONESE

I'm Okay at Mandarin too. 你們好嗎? 我的國語不太好了。

And I learned about 3 years of FRENCH. At school. I stopped at French 11 (Learned most of the grammar and vocab, but I forgot A LOT of it. When I read something in french, I still understand it) Je ne parle pas beaucoup de francais.

I am also taking JAPANESE at school. I spent a lot of time self-learning and with my Japanese friend, so I think the course at school is too easy for me. I also Love reading MANGA, as it helps me read Japanese faster, even though I don't understand half the content. I think my Chinese background helped me a lot in learning Japanese because I can almost always related a word to Chinese somehow.

Most of my friends can't find that relation, but I can just sound out "how is it similar". Some words are obviously easy to relate like LIBRARY, Japanese 図書館 toshokan, to Mandarin, tu shu guan.

I'll try not to be a lurker here. I would love to visit Japan and get either excited or dissapointed. Isn't that what most people think when they come here? よろしくおねがいします。

Hey, whats up? Welcome to OP9, I guess it's your luck to run into me first though (well, not anymore, Vic took that honor, that damn guy!). Few are this fortunate. Cantonese is pretty hard to speak, all I can say is "tsau ni/wo ma." Hahaha.
I have a love/hate relationship to Vancouver. Love, since it's sonice and rainy, and the mountains are awesome for boarding, and hate because of the amazingly high percentage of brown people there who don't know jackshit about anything.
PS - "new" has one "w."

Welcome, though you should've posted this information on "Introduction" thread. Or is it the thread the losers are referred to? j/k.

Well, suck it for waiting on Jay to jump the gun. Jay can suck it too. :D

Ah, newbies.... I wish there would be some hazing rituals for all those silly newbies who mentally block out INTRODUCTION!!!! thread. Like giving them swirlies or making them go out in drag.

I dunno, does anybody really read the introduction thread? I posted a short bit when I was a newbie, but I haven't touched it since then. I tend to stay away from threads with more than a hundred posts that I'm not actively involved in.

I always thought it was silly that members are allowed to post a new thread on just about any subject except for "I'm the new guy!" But hey, it's not my forum.

Fine, if you are so eager to suck it, then go ahead, make my day. You too Urban Ninja. I shall not be provoked!

But I'm spamming this thread, I just realized. Oh well. Spam spam spam spam lovely spam!

I didn't say I was eager to suck it; I dare you to point out where I did. :P

I merely mentioned that you must swing the other way since you recommended I suck it.

Okay, I wouldn't want you to suck it. In fact, I'm not a big fan of oral sex.

And for the newbie here, on second thought, I don't feel bad about spamming here. You started it by opening a thread instead of going to the Introduction thread like I've said.

I never noticed that there was an introduction thread. I was looking for an introduction board, but I gave up. I guess I'm one of those people who don't notice stickies with 1000+ posts there.
