It's a great movie! ...if you like that kind of stuff.
I've seen it about ten times. I'm surprised that so few people here have seen it before. I mean, it's made by Peter Jackson. You know, the guy that made the "Lord of the Rings" triology. It's called "Dead Alive" in the states, but over here it's called "Braindead".

If you liked this, keep an eye open for "Bad Taste" and "Meet the Feebles" (think emotionally disturbed muppets), also made by Peter Jackson, in the same style, before he became really famous.

How's THAT for an Americanisation of a title? Does that even make sense?? (Being a New Zealander, I of course know that movie as Braindead. And yes, Peter Jackson is King of New Zealand now.)

You know, if that had come out of Japan, I probably would have trotted out the standard, "Japan is kind of messed up" line. But no. It came from my country.
