That's right I said it.

I will always go around and see some guy claim how confusing girls are, hell I even said it myself. That's because it is the truth. The only thing is that we fail to put ourselves in their place (god forbid) to know what they are going through.

Girls think guys are confusing as well. I'm not sure how we are confusing to you because I have never actually been in your shoes, but I assume the confusion is there.

The truth is that everyone is confusing. Too many people getting mixed signals and bad messages from one another that having a decent conversation is a battle itself.

I'll give you this scenario: Johnny likes Sally and thinks she is really cute. He finally worked up the courage to talk to her, but she didn't really seem all that into the conversation. She looked a little weirded out to Johnny and she left just after a little bit of conversation. Johnny doesn't think Sally likes him and therefor decides that it just isn't worth to persue anymore.

Sally likes Johnny, but can't really find up the right words to say to him. All of a sudden one day Johnny walked up to her out of nowhere and talked to her. Actually TALKED to her. She tried her best to respond but she was nervous and he seemed a little bit quite every time she responded to him. Fearing that she might make more of a fool of herself Sally makes up an excuse to leave to get herself out of that situation.

This scenario isn't far from the truth of what men and women go through everyday. A scenario for the couples now:
Jim just finished coming home from work and taking a load off in his nice comphy bed. He decides to call his girlfriend, Alice, to see how she is doing. When he gets on the phone with her she's in a bad mood and she won't talk to him about it. She just tells him that "You know what you did" and he really doesn't know. Frustrated he slams the phone hanging up on her.

Alice looked forward to seeing her boyfriend after he got off of work failed to see him come to her house. She starts pacing around feeling as if he should be there and she gets angry that he isn't there. Finally she gets a phone call and she erupts on him. Feeling that he should know that he should see her he has thousands of times before. The phone slams and she starts to cry.

Relationships and conversations are frustrating because we honestly don't know what the other person is thinking. We take glances, signatures, words, etc. out of context and mix them up for good or bad things and in the end feel foolish about ourselves.

I feel that the way people can get around this is to actually talk to each other. That way, maybe they just wont seem so confusing anymore and you don't have to play a stupid conversation game with each other.

I'm so glad I was born with a penis. I couldn't imagine what the other half must go through, with 50 guys trying to fuck em every minute of the day. It's easy to see why they aren't as approachable as we would like them to be. Doesn't make it any less frustrating of course, but yea it's easy to see.

Yes, it is very hard to read the opposite sex sometimes. And I'm well aware that we females are hard to read at times too. So in a nutshell, I agree with you.

To be honest, girls and guys arent really that confusing AT ALL. Heck we mostly know what both genders are thinking, and you would be a fool if you didnt know how your girl would think to some extent.

I dont think confusion is the right word for it.

I can't think of 1 situation where i got confused by someone, rather bieng baffled by what to say in return. i understand them perfectly but sometimes not sure what to say in return, that doesnt lead to confusion but rather akward moments.

Confusion can come as a result of the personalities of the people in question. However, if someone is straightforward and charistmatic, there is no room for confusion. If you are timid and awkward then it will be harder to get your affection accross.

Holy crap! You're a dude and you just said that!

They'll be coming to take your man card any day now, you know.

To No17 - yep, you're right. But you didn't even get into the deeper issues/subtext stuff:

Girl: Well, I really like him, he seems like a decent guy and we get along really well. I could hold off, but I like him and we've only had 3 dates but have known each other for months, so why play games?
Guy: Dayam, she slept with me on the 3rd date, she must be a slut and not worthy of my respect, I'll just use her until a real woman comes along!

or

Guy: Sheesh, I've been working a lot and some friends have had some issues I really haven't had time to spend with my girl. I think I'll see if she wants to go out later and bring her some flowers and ask her out for a nice dinner/night on the town.
Girl: Ohhhhh flowers and a night on the town? That dog is makin' up for sleeping with his co-worker. I KNEW it! Screw him!

Just base it on the person's personality and all will be well.

Almost.

Er, really. Don't underrate mystery. Too much of anything can be bad.

The ability to present yourself as a mystery is a form of communication.
In fact it all boils down to effective communication.

Ok, effective communication, or effective lack of communication :) Silence is golden!
