I live in Seattle, Washington. Of course, that's in the United States. It's alright here; I've been here since I was two. I don't plan on staying here for very much longer though. I might move down south to Caifornia in a few years.

Im from California.

But if you meen where I was born then I'll tell you that I was born on the Island of Saipan somewhere in the middle of the pacific ocean.... Okay, it's not smack fucking dab in the middle, but it's so far out there it might as well be.

All you history people must realize by now that it is the island where one of the bigger battles of the Pacific was fought in WW2.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Its the largest city in Florida, we had the last Super Bowl here. Its an alright city, not alot to do here but it can be lots of fun if you know where to go and/or how to entertain yourself and your friends. The city's nickname from the hood people is "Da Bang 'Em" because the city kinda has a high murder rate. "Bang 'em where we hang 'em and slang 'em"...stupid people. Anyway, I like it here and I can see myself staying here as an adult and whatnot.

Born in London, Ontario, raised in St. Thomas, Ontario*. However, my dad recently got transferred from the London Airport to the Whitehorse Airport, so here I am.

*True story: Jumbo the Elephant (Largest African elephant ever in captivity) was killed by a train in St. Thomas (Fittingly enough, since it's also the Railway Capital of Canada...guh.) Anyways, years ago, they decided to put up a life-sized statue. Coming down the side street from either direction, it's pretty impressive, for a concrete elephant. However, down a steep hill is the highway leading to...uh...everywhere else in Ontario. And the elephant is positioned facing into the city.
So, the first thing you generally see driving into St. Thomas is a 3-meter wide concrete elephant ass.

Navy brat like Druid, born in Jacksonville like Pink Ranger. Small world.

I was born in Florida, but lived in Italy, Spain, Maryland, and Texas before Dad quit and we moved to Minnesota. I've lived three places in MN, and visited more places than I can count (thanks to Dad working for an airline, we got majorly cheap tickets when I was still a student). Now I live and work in a tiny village in northern Japan.

The plan for the future is to go to graduate school, probably in Seattle, and go back to Japan for a short study abroad. But I think my heart really lives in Minnesota, so that's probably where I'll end up for good.

I think you have the wrong San Ramon... It's definately NOT in the way from Indiana to California...unless you decided to go straight across the country and then straight down, rather than take the diagonal route... and even then, you'd only stop in San Ramon if your car broke down or something. The whole "city" consists of three/four major roads all running parallel to each other.

WHich means that like...for a year, the entire school will consist of a bunch of temporary/portable classrooms, and the FL building. Impressive, hm? You'd think the city would have saw it fit to renovate all this crap like...8 years ago as opposed to building like...3 new middle schools and a bunch of new elementary schools for the new neighborhood out by Dougherty.

And nowadays, we're hugely corporate. SBC has their headquarters in bishop ranch along with a bunch of other companies. I think like...1/2 of our city is the bishop ranch buildings. But it's getting better. We're big enough to have hotels now. HOTELS!! Hehe, silly, I don't think we have THAT many visiting businessmen/women to have more than 1 hotel. Grew up on Long Island, NY (yes, part of the sprawling metropolis), got the hell out at 18 and went to college in Cambridge, MA, then went to work in Crystal City, VA (the border of Washington, DC). Then, after law school, back up to Long Island for one year, then, escape to Jersey, then down to Maryland for a few years and back again to Northern Virginia.

Then to Tokyo, Japan for the last 2 1/2 years.

Got an offer for a job in Connecticut, which would have nearly completed my goal of living most places along the northeast/middle atlantic coast, but turned it down...

If and when I go back to the States (would prefer to move to Canada and begin to work on Canadian citizenship) I don't know where I'll end up. If my father is still alive, I might pick the Pacific Northwest. My daughter goes to school in Michigan (north) and it is beautiful there and the people in the midwest are SO NICE...

It all depends on the work I decide to do if I go back...

For the longest time, I refused to believe they were. I mean... those two are completely opposites! I canNOT imagine Foss joking like Sloan, or Sloan being serious like Foss. But guess what? My English teacher right now... is ALSO about to get married. To another English teacher next door. English teachers have higher chance of marrying their coworkers...?

Mr. Cahn is a dickhead. I had him for Health. And I got an A, but boy, he was an ass the whole time. All because his wife divorced him and he's bitter. His kids look weird.YES!!!!! YES!!!! I agree. Cahn is the worst teacher I've had. I had him for Health AND PE! I got an A too, in both, but....ugh. I still remember the days he made us run lines (back and forth between football lines) while POURING. He's so stupid too! When it first starts raining, he stays outside. Then, after a while, he decides to go in... JUST as the weather clears. After a few minutes of that, he decides to come out... right when it starts SHOWERING. Arrrrgh. And he's so inconsiderate with his coworkers too. For swimming, he argued with the other female teacher just so we could get 6 sessions while the other class only gets 4. And yes, I know what you mean about his kids. I didn't know he was divorced... All he talks about is his kids, his college dormmates, and himself. Yes... I can go forever about that man. I think I'll stop here.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I know where Vienna, Ontario is!

Granted, that's because I used to live in St. Thomas (About 15 minutes north), and a friend of mine lives there, but still.

I pity the foo that lives in Vienna, Ontario...

yay, another Bay Arean! I've passed by there on Caltrain before... but of course, with my short-term memory, I said to my friend less than two weeks after, "Where's Menlo Park?" We almost went there for CSF, if she hadn't gone to Florida.

Doesn't Menlo Park relate to Thomas Edison in some way?

Alameda is strange. Their houses are in the brightest shade of pink, green, blue, purple... o.o Or maybe they seemed especially bright because it was a gloomy day.

Helen (the one yao_yao knows) used to talk nonstop about Alameda too, when she first moved to San Ramon. How "preppy" our middle school is, and we need to be more ghetto. Translated, she meant there are not enough Asians. I wonder if she still talks about Alameda... or has that been replaced by San Ramon, yao_yao?

It is. It really is. But if it works for you it's a great place to live. Small town in the city. But it's definitely not for everyone.

Don't move to Puerto Rico. :)

I like places like that, though. So colorful and vibrant; not blah and shitty like 99% of American towns.

Maybe that's why I abhorr living in any place with a population over 1,000. The country is so much nicer and prettier.

haha I didn't mean strange in a bad way. In fact... I shouldn't be talking. I live in a bright-yellow house with a red, brick roof... in a neighborhood full of gray, wooden roofs. You'd have to be blind to miss my house.

To be more specific, I somehow managed to move into the middle class part of SRU. ("Boring" Bard Hall)

I went to a party at the ghetto (Founders) and was like, "Fuck Bard, I wanna move here!" Eight floors of pure ghetto-ness, from urban ghetto to redneck ghetto and everything in between.

I'd move there next year, but they're tearing it down. :( So I'll be stuck in the emo / goth / smoker part (Harner Hall).

haha, yeah, Oaktown is hella ghetto. Like...you ask ppl where they're from and they're like "Oakland" and you say "ohhh, Oakland", and they go "yeah, the ghetto place" and then you say "yeahhh". San Ramon isn't ghetto because...it's educated (please don't shoot me). The only semblance of ghetto-ness that we have is us being faux-ghetto...but at heart, we're really not that ghetto...at all.

When I lived in Peoria, my next door nieghbor killed a cop, got into a carchase then finally hightailed it back to the house to set it on fire to destroy the evidence of the methlab in the basement(which didn't work). I watched the carchase part all the way up till they showed my house. Then I decided it was best to go outside till the cought him or he left the neighborhood. Turned out neither of those things happened. After about five minutes, the house exploded and my neighbor came flying out into the car and drove away. They caught him about two days later. I lived in a ainteresting neighborhood :)

Moving isn't an option for the next 1 1/2 years, since I'm going to school here. If I want peace, I go to Lower Austria, Weinviertel to be precise. It's really peaceful too, and I have lots of friends and family there.
But I really need to travel my home country some time.
