I'm back, I know you all missed me. This place has changed like whoa too.
For those who don't know me (Honestly, have you been living under a rock or what?), I am a 15 year old male residing in Australia. I'm interested in a whole heap of shit but you probably don't really care anyway so I'm not going to bore you all with the nitty gritty details.
God approves of this message.
Amen.

Let's see, I'm 14 right now and I'm going to turn 15 in another 2 months.
I started reading Outpost Nine Editorials several months ago.
My hobbies are drawing, reading, playing video games, and watching tv.
I'm 22 year old male from Atlanta, GA and copied this profile from my online dating page... :P
Currently attending university in Washington DC. I've been reading Outpost nine for the past few days, and decided to jump the forum bandwagon.
I'm quite interested in joining the JET program/spending some time over in Japan, and am taking a Japanese class now. I used to go to kindofcrap.com before it went belly up, been in interested in Japan as a country right next to mine.
Ooops missed this thread (and the chance of world domination)...
Name's Michael, 26 from Melbourne, Australia.... and I..well believe it or not stumbled across this site by accident. Can't even remember what I searching for, but it did definitely did not include little boys and fingers and asses.
I'm a systems support analyst, so that technically makes me a geek that makes enough money to buy stuff. :D
Interests are basketball and music, but I can't play ball for another 2 months coz of a full knee reconstruction that I had last year (I still haven't set off any metal detectors with the four screws that I have in my knee yet)... Piano and guitar. Awesome way to impress (some) girls... and being able to sing in key helps too.

no one else likes me!
No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens
We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us
We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too
Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me
They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now

Hello everyone,
I've been following the editorials from Az for well over a year now, but I held off on joining the forums until recently. I'm a twenty-something guy from San Francisco who now lives in San Diego. And that's about it from me! See you guys around.

09-16-2005, 01:53 AM
hey everyone! i'm chrisnick, if you want to know more about me, go to my homepage. yeah, yeah, yeah, i know it's "MySpace," but it's the best way to get a handle on "me." i'm 19, a college dropout :(, and utterly obsessed with cars and learning as much about japan as i can. consiquently, i have a "thing" for japanese cars, which swings back around and is what really got me into everything Japanese.
i started reading the editorials a couple of weeks ago and it's inspired me even more to get my ass back in college. i forget how i stumbled upon his site, i think it might've been looking for an exchange program. i've wanted to go to Japan for a really long time, but i wanted to learn the language enough so that i could be fluent in it. thanks Az! haha

09-16-2005, 10:24 PM
I was worried I would be the oldest one but as I see several others in my age group...
I am Tanya, 29. I am a single mom with my own marketing business...
Konnichi wa minna-san...
I'm an 18 year female ABC from the East Bay in California but currently living in Davis, CA to attend university (UCD just beat Stanford today, Woo!!!). 2nd year genetics major (lord knows why), would pursue vet school if being a vet paid a little better. (no offense to any vets out there, I respect what you do) Thinking about changing to a Bio major with an emphasis on genetics, minor in zoology and Japanese...maybe? I don't even know if that combination is real, it's just what I'd *like* to do. :-P
I've been reading OP9 for like...3 days. I'm the newbiest of newbs at the moment. But I love Az's editorials to death because I find his writing style (at least in the editorials) is very similar to mine. So reading his editorials is like reading my old xanga entries except for everything that happens is new and funny. Good stuff.
Hobbies, hobbies...I like a little sci-fi in my life. I love Star Wars and Star Trek, despite the consistent bashing of the 3rd SW movie. I enjoy anime, I usually don't have problems watching the dubbed stuff except for when the voice jobs are terrible...*coughNARUTOcough* but I like reading manga best. And I'm nuts about J-pop/rock. I surround myself w/ Japanese music so entirely that I'm totally uneducated on what's in and out in American music. Yeah, I'm that bad. But uh...love the Oricon chart. :-P
I like doing webdesign and graphics, but everytime I start a website, I lose interest after 4-6 months and end up abandoning the thing. I'm terrible, I know. I've gone through like...5 or 6 websites to date.
PS. I'm long winded, can ya tell?

WOW.
A lot of peoiple here are from the Bay area/Nor Cal (in fact 3 of us live in the same city o_O [Me, Firefly and Devildude]). Pretty cool considering this forum has people from all over the world.
And ARIA. You say you go to UCD. That's pretty cool because my sister goe's there too, Hehe.
Yup, UCD. No school for me yet! But I have to tell you that the city has near nothing to do when you're bored. Other than eat, all you can do is go to like...the MU and go bowling or play pool. As I understand it, Azrael spent time working at UCD and I'm sure he can attest to the extreme lack of crap to do when one is bored.

Names Rob, I like playing bagpipes and gettin all scottish, practicing Japanese (ooh shit i hav a writing task due in 24hrs) and reading things... the latest craze of course are Azs editorials. I must say despite Az's writing style my favorite would have to be the confessionals (I can picture that poor bastards face as he gets himself penetrated) and last but not least is the help that Az has given all us nice guys. Im on my way to prickdom faster than you can say "Kancho assasin"

Haha, when I went to UCD with Az we had a bowling class together. He bowls to obliterate the pins! You're right, there's nothing much to do in Davis; my parents live in San Jose and I ended up going home almost every weekend because I had nothing better to do. :p

Bah, I'm 17 M Arizona (USA). I'm a junior in college, or I would be if I had decided to go back this year. Instead I decided to join the Nuclear Navy (That would be the nuclear division of the US Navy). I'm gonna try and get stationed on a nuclear aircraft carrier, because my dad was on a nuclear sub and I think it'd be nice if a member from our family ended up on both. My family has a bit of tradition with the military from my dads generation. He was in the Navy as I've already stated, my uncle Stephen was in the Marines, my Uncle Vince (who I was named after) was in the Airforce, my uncle Carlos was in the army (Uncle Steve and Vince are my dads brothers, Uncle Carlos married in) and my grandfather on my moms side was in the Navy. He adopted her when he married my grandmother in Japan about a decade after WWII ended. So I'm half Japanese and half Italian.
My interests include: Cooking, working out, photography, anime, drawing, engineering, video games, and music. Logic puzzles are fun too.

S'crackin, cuh?
Twenty year old male!
I enjoy music that makes me move, playing with my four-year old little sister, and farting on my dog. Not simultaneously....yet.
I ALSO enjoy writing, arting, acting, and gaming. My favorite genre? Why, I cannot say for sure. I'll give anything a try, but I reek at FPSsseses and RTSsies.
I work as a waiter at a relatively popular cool people restaurant, where I make sure everyone gets their fat free dressing on the side and diet pepsi. Bitter much? A tad, perhaps.
Is there more? Well yeah, of course! These things never really tell you much anyway.

Ahoy there, e-people.
19-year old male from Culver City, CA. Currently employed by Activision. Y'know, those guys. Yeah. Well, I work for them. No, it's not as glamorous as it seems. I work in the basement, secluded from all the suits upstairs. Not that it matters, as I work the night shift, anyway, and they're all gone by then. I do Quality Assurance testing.
Other than that, I'm patiently awaiting my next semester of college to start. Main reason I joined these forums is to troll Yoonafkenenen in-between actually contributing. Y'know, something like:
"Yoonafkenenen smells of dog feces.
Blah blah blah.
Yoonafkenenen still smells of dog feces."
Yep.
Oh, and if you call me Sup, I'll ignore you.
Yoonafkenenen sucks.
Greetings! My name is Chelsea and I just joined. I am sixteen years old and I have been reading Outpost nine for a while now. My friends got me reading it. I usually read Outpost Nine when I am at school. I minimize the window whenever I hear footsteps... So no worries. Hehe. If they even glance at this website they would probably immidiately suspend me from the internet. Yay southern baptist schools! I am lucky enough that this website isn't blocked!! Murr...
Anyhoo... I live in Alabama. My interests are singing, sewing, drawing, painting, watching anime and playing video games. Yeeeeep. Nice ta meet'cha.

I am 15, and after reading about Kencho on OPN, I became Chinese... not Japanese. I spend my time doing homework (actually I’m supposedly doing English homework right now :P…), or spending quality time on crappy photoshop or doing stuff you couldn’t possibley care about.
Oh yeah..

Allo J'aime appel Arkan.
I live in Hamilton Canada. I don't speak any french. That was like 7 years of french class right there. I was born in Kurkuk Iraq (i'm kurdish). Ok first thing to explain yes i'm middle eastern yes my father is brown, but i'm white. It's rare for kurdish woman to be white (which my mother is) and it's even rarer for a male to be fair skinned. But my mothers genes were dominant and I came out looking white. So I look white but Deep down i'm brown or a goowy red which ever you like.
I'm 17 turning 18 in about a month or two. I like a lot of things, and tend to be a jerk on the net. I won't be one here (i have other forums to spazz out and leave my seed of destruction on). Hopefully i'll be heading to UofT next year but before that I was promised a trip which i think will be to Japan.
Edit:I'm a guy.

Hmmm. Okay, I guess I should introduce myself. (:
My name is Alicia, I'm turning 18 in November of 2005. Which is a couple of months away. D:
I was a ford model when I was little for about a month, because my mom decided she hated driving to Toronto. But Toronto calls to me and I should be going to film school there next year. I want to become a director of photography or a director or a producer. :*
I graduated highschool last year, but I'm doing an extra semester to gain some extra courses.
I dunno, my friend just sent me this website a loooong time ago and I've been reading ever since the first article. I just noticed the BBS up when it first came up, but I was far too shy to join. (:
I'm one half English, one quarter Irish and one quarter Native American.
I compose music for the piano in my spare time, am a vocalist and am presently in a production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Cats".
On the not-so-bright side, I procrastinate and am horribly and hopelessly opinionated. D:
ArkAngel: I live about a half hour away from you. (:
Welcome, more cheerios, and don't be shy!
(You can hide under my bed anytime :p)

Hey
I'm 16, learning Japanese at school (for a long time). I live in Australia and ride a kangaroo to school (just kidding). Been reading Az's editorials ever since I saw them posted on a forum somewhere a few months back. Oh and I'm a guy.

I'll bite, now that I've posted a bunch of useless and inflammatory responses in multiple threads.
Well, maybe not inflammatory.
I'm a bored, but busy 20-year old who is a senior at Bucknell University majoring in East Asian Studies, concentration in Japanese, with minors in Classics and Philosophy. I know they're useless, but they're interesting.
I'm also very opinionated, because - like all other people my age - I think I'm absolutely correct. My only fault is that sometimes I actually am correct.
Well, that's not my only fault - but you'll get to know the rest of them soon enough.
Did I mention that I'm pretty cynical, sardonic, and sarcastic most of the time?

I'm a 19-year old [soon to be 20] guy. I screwed up at school a year ago and am in some sort of weird, decision-making limbo. I was at Purdue, but am not anymore. :\
I was reading Azrael's editorials and realized that odd Japanisms aside, he is living my dream. Before I left high school, I was considering majoring in education, since I legitimately wanted to be a teacher. I've always wanted to go to Japan. Because of a stupid desire to be 'unique,' though, I took German throughout high school instead of Japanese, which WAS offered. I am regretting it. I would like to both learn Japanese and finish my bachelor's if it would give me a chance to do what Azrael did. Or is still doing. I'd like to finish my bachelor's anyway, but being able to spend some real time in Japan and teach would fulfill two ambitions.

Hi all! 25 year old female here. I've been a fan of the site for a few months now, even though I have never posted on the forum before. I am a first-generation American from my mother side, who was born in Pusan, South Korea. My father met her while stationed at Osan Air Base. Gotta love us "half-pedigree" kids.
I work in the claims department of my state's Workers' Compensation Division. Not that fun, but it makes decent money. I'll leave it at that.
In high school and college I competed in various forms of debate and dabbled in interpretive events (i.e. - Prose, Duo, Communication Analysis.) Even now, I find it difficult to have a "normal" argument without formatting my argumentation in outline form and asking for their "sources." It also doesn't help that I am one of those annoying people that has a photographic memory and am usually right. On the plus side, I hope to go on a game show and put my ever-growing plethera of knowledge about useless facts and tidbits to good use and win me some money.
Generally speaking, I love movies (I even love action . . . sometimes,) writing and drumming (been playing for over 15 years now.) Oil painting is a bit difficult, but I find that it is great stress relief. I have also been working on a novel that I hope to get published someday. And although it has its flaws, Fable for XBox is the greatest game I've played in a long while. Final Fantasy VIII rocks my world.
Yeah, okay, that's enough for starters. I look forward to posting here.

Hey all,
New to the boards, not new to the site. I'm a huge fan of AZ's editorials and just have had a gut busting experience reading through them. I've just been lurking and finally decided to join up and post away. I'm a 26 Y/O Afro-Guatemalan-American(Hah! Say it 5 times fast after a few shots of Vodka!) living in Northern California. When I'm not at work or school or out in my car carving mountain passes I'm playing Final Fantasy XI (Ramuh Server if anyone else plays! :D). Other than that I dig the usuals. Anime, Japanese Culture, Computers, the ladies...
Just thought I'd drop a line and say hola!!

I'm 25.
I enjoy music, pie, Star Trek, shiny things, and mocking stuff.
I work at a gas station in Georgia, and I'm going back to school to get my PhD in Egyptology. I'll probably transfer to UCLA sometime in the next year or so. I miss California.
I might be in Japan next year with some friends to take in some shows.
I'm a rabid TM Network fan. :3

Last but not least... Hey everyone!
As an avid reader of the editorials I later decided to join the forums.
I'm an Aussie who is aspiring to work on the JET program as a CIR. I've done the whole one year university exchange to Japan and am able to use Japanese on a daily basis thanks to my job.
Fate has it that one of my Japanese friends who studied at my university a few years back is a friend of Azrael.. i almost fell off my chair when I saw a photo of Azrael posing with my friend!

On a side note:

I am home with the flu today... which give me a chance to look around in here and have a good laugh (reading all of the Editorials at once!).
I am a 21-year-old German-American-half girl who has just come to the USA from studying at Uni in Japan. I'll be a EFL teacher after I graduate next year, which means I'll be heading back to Japan. I studied in the Kansai and my boyfriend is from Shiga-ken, so I really enjoy talking about Kansai :P
Had a lot of memories from the Editorials that make me miss Japan (next year better come soon!!) and I thought I'll join in the forum to be able to talk to others who have lived there, or share an interest.
My other intrests include: Japanese music, television, cooking, fashion. I'm not really interested in anime and gaming, but I like to talk about anything. :D

I found AZ's editorials on a anime site and I’ve been reading it every since. Well I am 19 years old I am black and a quarter Korean. I am form the glove state Michigan a.k.a. boring vill. Right now I am working. This winter I am going to start collage. I am going to take music production and business management.
I love music any kind of music (Well almost I hate techno). I am a big Lil’ Kim fan ( I hope I don’t catch heat for it lol) I also rap I will be doing some mix tapes and working on my demo. I like to read I don’t watch too much TV really only on Sundays on Fox that’s about it. I am not really good at these things.
Hey, welcome to OP9 Beekun! :D
I like most kinds of music as well. I hate a lot of rap (think 50 Cent and his associates), and I don't care much for techno either.
Can you host your demo(s) somewhere? I'd like to hear.

You know what no I fell in love with her music not all of it is about sex and stuff. She was one of a few people at her time willing to do something out side of the box that’s why I love her.
Whereas most of today's rappers who have been taken over by the "lame" and "annoying" labels... :/
That's why I love Australian rap, it's so unique. :D I'll drop a few names if you want, but it'll be up to you to search 'em up.

If you need to visualize me;
I'm 19, male, half white half chinese, 5'8, long straight hair (almost till shoulder) and weighs around 125lb. High metabolism so I can't get fat even if I tried. Pasty complexion.. Black clothing matches me best (think nike shox, jeans, black long sleeve). Main interest, music. Ibiza trance is good when I need to sleep. Too many type of music to include here. Not a fan of most hip-hop and rap. Plays an elec guitar myself. Other interests includes movies, games, anime etc..
You should be able to visualize me pretty accurately with that.
I won't write anymore of my personal stuff here. PM me if you need to know something specific.

hmm.
I just turned 21. My parents won't sign my fasfa form, so I spent a year... being pissed and depressed. Then I started writing resumes, and it turns out I'm pretty good at it, and I've been making... really good money. I like to travel, and have been to six of seven contenents (not much on antartica interests me). I'm planning on cutting back on my work to actually start college. heh, maybe I'll hire someone else to do the heavy lifting of resume work, and I'll just do the fun interviewing part.
favorite places? Reykjavik, Iceland, and the BLue Lagoon, also Iceland. okei, I'm an Icelandophile. I want to go to Brazil for Carneval, so... I'll never dance like a white girl again. I've only been to Toyko once, and, well, I don't want to go by myself again. Uhm, what else? I like to write, read, play final fantasy games, watch "Cosmos," knit, sing, dance (even tho I know I suck), argue, play paintball, rock climb, and all in all, enlighten myself.
I'm about 5'3, 125lbs, very white, waist length dirty blonde hair, celtic head, but more germanic facial features, fairly shapely, and a nerd. but aren't we all?

I've found the stories interesting and hope to have my own experiences with luck. However, I can't say that they would pertain to everyone cuz I'm a Korean who isn't completely Americanized (I think). Also, I am not interested in Japan for its girls and dislike most anime (except for ones by Miyazaki). I've been to Japan twice for study abroad (6 weeks) and for fun. It's a good place to visit, but I don't have any illusions about daily life. Anyway, nice to meet everyone! ^o^/~~ <--- fobby smiley

Hellooo! *waves* I'm Emily, 15, from Canada... I love the Japanese language and a lot of things about Japan (from what I can see)... but you know, I'm not a Japanophile, at least, I don't think so. Sure, I read manga, and watch anime and stuff, but I don't love Japan just because it's Japan.
Anyway, I know a few random phrases and stuff in Japanese, but I'm not even going to bother trying to speak it, because I'll just embarass myself, and plus, there's nothing more annoying than the person who knows naught but "kawaii" and "konnichiwa", and they use it at every chance possible.
But I digress... Azriel's blogs are so funny... I really enjoy reading Outpost Nine. Aaaand, that's about it.

Hey, i'm Oliver, 20, from Melbourne, Australia.
Currently looking after my father (who has leukeamia) after 4 odd years of "wtf am I doing?" lifestyle (sorta), planning to finally get back and complete my education starting feburary.
I am probably what people would call a Japanophile, saying that, I tend to obsess over anything I find remotely interesting plainly because I dont have much of a life/personality otherwise, so yeah, label me what you want.
I'm an introvert, i'm quite open minded when it comes to mostly anything bar absolute crap. (weather that be music/movies/food/anime/whatever)
I came accross this site about a year ago, how new is this board? lol I just never noticed it before O.o, but anyways yeah, great read, lookin forward to reading well into my completion of education =P
Favourite places, hard to say, i've never been out of Victoria, Australia >_>, unluckily, but from the knowledge I have, no doubt Canada, Sweden and New Zealand are some great places I gotta visit sometime.
5' 9 ish, 85-90kgs, solid (though stacking it on with this lifestyle I have atm, anime/food/games/sleep/anime/self study/anime lol), moldable motabolism, good if I do any physical work at all.
Ask me for anything more ;P
Hullo. -waves- I'm Kari, fifteen, hailing, though perhaps not proudly, from the US. I'm not sure if I would be labeled as a Japanophile, but I don't think so; while I'm very much into anime, manga and Japanese music I'm well aware that I would be considered quite weird in Japan even if I didn't have to deal with gaijin-phobia, and I also understand that just because I watch anime doesn't mean I'm an expert on Japanese culture. xD I'm in my second year of learning the language, so I know a bit more than the average "OMG WATASHI BAKA KAWAII NEKO" fangirl, but I doubt I could hold a conversation with anyone over the age of five.
Other than Japanese things I'm also into computer-related stuff and am quite interested in psychology. :3
Personality-wise I'm quite talkative and almost eternally happy (oho, no teenage angst for me. I go AGAINST the grain!), though extremely shy. @@; I'll also talk about anything and everything; nothing's taboo to me, so I apologize in advance if anyone is offended in the future. x3;; I'm quite cynical and liberal in my opinions and tend to defend them to the death. xD
I discovered this site a few months ago and have been reading the forums for a week or two, so I decided to join. So uhm. Nice to meet you all! :D

Oh, I should have found this thread before I started a new one to introduce myself. Ah, well.
So I'm Philip, a 23-year-old from rural Georgia, the heart of the American South. Yet I'm politically liberal, militantly secular, intermittently vegetarian, and a dual-citizen of the US and UK. I study logic and artificial intelligence (getting computers to do things that require intelligence) at the University of Georgia. I love calligraphy and playing piano, but I have a long way to go before I'm any good at either. I'm thinking about becoming a JET ALT.
Since the conversation lately seems to be about this: I don't like rap. It gives me headaches.

Glad to see another person from Georgia. Technically, Athens is not really rural, just venture to the more southern parts of Georgia, where rednecks roam and can't read to save their lives. Also a shout out for going to UGA.

True, but I grew up in Habersham County, Georgia, which is definitely rural. It's up in the mountains instead of down in the plains, but everyone there farms chickens.
Athens is a weird blend of urban and rural. There's cow pastures and 7-story buildings.

In America, at least, the Kurdish people are in the news quite a bit because of their role in Iraqi politics.

Well, I'm not great at intro posts. :p Any questions?

Any case, I'm an AET on JET up in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. I was sent this site by another JET due to the pure truth this man speaks. Thankfully I've never been kancho'ed (my kids have other ways to causing mahem and destruction to their AET), I HAVE used the threat of 1,000 years of pain to great effect, so thanks.

Hi. I'm new to the forum.
I'm 25, a girl, and I like teaching. Xuande has talked me into applying for the Jet program, but I have lots of questions. Specifically, I know very little about Japan. I do know what it is like to go to countries with different languages and customs and what it is like to work with and even teach folks that I have very little in common with ( I have taught adults with no verbal skills at all for example), but I have never been to Japan. So, I really wonder what it will be like.

Ozero
11-03-2005, 12:54 AM
Hullo. I'm known in most corners of the net as Ozero, but a few older accounts out there know me as Obsidian Zero. (hint hint how I got Ozero...)
I'm 29, (eek) and work from home as a graphic artist, doing whatever comes my way. I'm married to an insanely hard working gal who works in the general field of child welfare.
I live in the vancouverish area of BC, cananadadada.
Like many, I first took notice of Japan via anime and games... starting, I suppose, with the likes of astroboy and robotech... though it probably wasn't until Akira found me that I really paid attnetion to the Japan connection..
I took 2 years of japanese in high school, but due to class clownism on the part of a couple rowdies in the class, the teacher was terribly ineffective, and literally had to quit his job due to a breakdown.
I really should point him to Az's site, and tell him to suck it up.
As a result, my Japanese is a sporatic, sparse collection from snippits I actually got from class, anime, and games.
More recently, I've taken in international (high school) students. By pure chance, the first one, who arrived this last sept, was a japanese girl, who by most accounts, lives up the the stereotype. (shy, tidy, hard working, etc)
After reading Az's statements about "showing only what they want you to see", it makes me wonder.
A whole 45 min ago, my second student arrived, This one from Germany. I'm rather curious how this will play out, but so far so good.
Oh, I may as well mention that I'm a gimp. (Note: the word gimp is not to be used by non-gimps, just as THE N WORD isn't to be used by people who don't fall into that category.)
Those illeagally using the word Gimp are subject to beatings via wheelchair armrest.
While I'm at it, let's spam my personal site..like this. Here, click it, i dares ya. (http://www.ozero.ca/oz.html)
it's fulla links to my DA/sheezy galleries, (anime inspired girlies mostly), my fiction, (NOT fan fiction), a few flashes and other such junk.
I think that about covers an intro... whee!

Posted first in the Picture thread, after realizing Vocab lives in the same city. I also hail from Vancouver (Burnaby actually) and i'm...21...which makes me keep my guard up whenever I'm talking to high schoolers. =( . I worry someone will think i'm doing something illegal.
I play piano, and am currently enrolled in a University Transfer program at Douglas College, 2nd year. Don't know where I'm headed next year yet because i'm not good enough to get into the local university.

Heh, I've seen people say a lot about aussies, and hell, here's another one!
Been a reader of Azrael's work since it came out, just didn't join the forum until now.
Not really a forum buff.
I'm 18 and studying Computer Systems Engineering + Psychology @ UWA
My goal is to work on AI hence why I'm learning Psychology :O
Okay, now explain that and your name to me. :D
Patrick = 羽刀律久。~之助 is a historical male name suffix. Therefore, 羽之助。

I am a genocidal gnome bent on starting Ragnarok so everyone can get what's coming to them (Death at the hands of giants of varying temperatures).
I quite like card games.

I've been reading OP9 for quite some time now. I was on the old message board a little bit, but never really got into it that much. Now I'm back!
I'm 20, I go to LSU - currently in Civil Engineering, although I'm starting to hate it (suggestions, anyone?)
I'm really not a fan of Baton Rouge - it's fairly boring with little for college students to do. Really, we'd go to New Orleans...but those plans have been squashed for now...they'll hopefully be up and running asap.
I grew up in Honduras for 13 years - originally from Alabama. Horray for moving around. I speak Spanish....uuuum...anything else you feel like knowing, you can get from my blog...it'll pretty much tell you everything except where I live...

i'm 17 years old, living on a relatively large rock in the pacific ocean, positively female, an avid reader of classic literature, a film fanatic, an orch dork... anything else you want to know, just ask.. i'm not a very intimidating person. :/

Hi, I'm a 23 year old guy from Germany, currently studying "industrial engineering and management" at a city in the south-west. I've been reading the editorials for quite a while and noticed the messageboard recently. Thinking that I shouldnt miss the fun part of it, I registered! So, here I am...
I really hope this thing isnt going to eat away my spare time, though XD

Stuff about me. hmm...
Music wise I'm all over the place, from Bjork to Ludacris, Mozart to The Pillows. I love anime, video games, scifi, typical geek stuff (geek pride!) and I carry around alot of technology in a decievingly small purse. :D
Oh and I'm terrible at spelling so please go easy on me :o
