Just finished watching possibly the most entertaining game of football (American-style football, not soccer) I've ever seen in my life! It was absolutely lovely to see USC get their asses kicked (alright, maybe not, but they still lost)! Hook 'em Horns!!

Texas-41, USC-38

Yeah good for Texas, my family are USC fans so I heard them and the whole street screaming in disappointment.

Woot for my alma mattar! Boy what a game! Vince Young is freaking amazing! And Reggie Bush is fast as hell. Even though I enjoyed the game those ref made some bad calls for both sides. Overall though it was an awesome game to watch! :)

Wow Texas won...? They were supposedly losing at some point. I guess I should have stuck around to find out what happened.

In any case, hooray.

Go Texas! Yay!!!! I fell asleep half-way through the game, so I didn't get to see the end :( But I'm still happy they won! Yay!

IRT Renegade, yes we have soccer teams in America silly, they just don't take precidence over American football.

Cause this is how it works

Football > Basketball > baseball > um... Nascar > Soccer

Cause we don't have like state vs state in it .-.

Soccer was brought in by immigration.
Its just not one of the important things in the melting pot. Although the United States soccer team is pretty good because of their *cough*money*cough*... uh, american talent!

No they're not. America has always sucked generally..

It's all about the European and South American teams, pretty much.

..Maybe the occassional african team, but that's about it.

There is a pro soccer league and not many follow it. College soccer is actually more popular than you might think though. Many school have VERY good teams but most are women's teams. There is a rule that schools have to spend as much on womens sports as mens sports, so after spending top dollar on the football program they have to have extra women's sports (without the matching mens sport, big ones are gymnastics, soccer, and volleyball) to make up for the difference.

Sadly most colleges do not have men soccer teams. I know they have outside men's soccer clubs though. Sadly UT didn't have a men's soccer team or I would of tried out. Oh well, GOOO TEXAS!

P.S. The last 7 mins of that game were some of the most intense football I have ever seen played.
