All taboo goes HERE!

Gay Marriage! Lesbian Dwarf Porn! Religion! Satan!

For my first question.. dun dun dun... What religion are you? (If not athiest.) If you are atheist, why? What do you think of other religions?

I'm half jewish/catholic. (Will explain tomorrow. Don't have the brain capacity now)

I spit on safe! Pee caution in the wind. Or something like that. I don't know it's 3 AM. I actually thought I put this there to be honest. (Obviously I didn't. ..Obviously. ..Obviously. That's a weird word. o.b.v.i.o.u.s.l.y. I need sleep.)

Hahaha, i'm Catholic and I question everything about my religion. I'll defend it to the death, but I know that it's not the only true faith. I can't stand fanatasim (SP?) in any form in any topic. I like views and ideas that allow one to expand their thoughts and ideals. O, and I love it when someone questions my faith, it's just fun to discuss it.

Agnostic with some Christian beliefs and Zen Buddhist philosophy.

If you have to be something I guess I'm an atheist, I don't base my life upon a fairytale. I don't despise religous people, think they are quite funny, Got no respect for them though.

Completely anti-religion but with a full set of catholic-based morals / values

stupid catholic schools taught me things I didnt want to know :)

My family is Catholic, and I practice the Catholic holidays. I find myself questioning way too much to be a Catholic, though. I can't really put my faith into something that I cannot actually see without validifying it with some amount of science. Just believing because I'm told that I better believe is just no good.

Not sure what I am exactly... I have some amount of spirituality, but I'm straying farther and farther away from Catholicism.

Nearly all religious beliefs are imprinted at a young age to match the religion of the childs parents.

More and more these days you see people who wernt brought up in strict religious households are starting to question the faith passed down to them by their parents. Its interesting that the more people are left to make up their own mind on faith, the more people claim to be athiest (though, athiest isnt what most people take it to mean either - its actually a religion ;) )

TBH the clincher for me in deciding that "faith" is just a control mechanism is the variety of faiths that people believe in. If there was one true "god" (or many true gods or whatever) id be thinking we wouldnt have such a wide variety of faiths to choose from.

This always reminds me of the southpark movie "heaven" - "The correct answer was the mormons. Sorry, you arnt mormon, your going to hell" :D

Athiest. One of the few good things I can say about my old man is that he taught me not to belive in any of that crap.

Agnostic. I think quite a few people who claim to be atheist really are agnostics.

(Atheist is someone who believes that there is no god, in the same way people believe that there is a god. Agnostic is someone who doesn't know and acknowledges it.)

Anti-atheist agnostic. I think there is -something- out there, but I'm not arrogant enough to profess to know what the heck it is :) I think there must be a glimmer of truth in many different spiritual beliefs. If there was ever one true way I think the knowledge to that path has long since been corrupted by human hands. I'm inherently suspicious of organized religion for that reason, but I do greatly respect those who have faith in something beyond themselves.

I'm agnostic. For all we know, there may be a deity and an afterlife, but it doesn't matter or affect me in my life in any way.

Right now one could say I'm "between religions". I haven't attended church in over a year, and I'm really looking for something that I connect with. But, in a technical sense, I'm Lutheran.

It's not a religion thread.. it's an ANYTHING thread. That's just what popped into my mind. So.. =P! Take the firey emoticon of death! (yes, that's it.)

I would like to say I'm Agnostic. But I was raised with both a catholic & jewish presence. My mother's family is catholic and my dad's was part Jewish so she made sure I got experienced with both religions. Even though I think I might believe in Jesus, I have a strange connection with my Jew-type kin.

I don't know. I think I'm weird.

I onced was totally scoping this hott girl at my families' (I dont meen imediate family. I meen everyone, cousins, aunts, uncles, the whole thing) Chirstmas Eve party.... Later on I found out she was my second cousin....

Oh God I should've figured, but in my defence the Christmas eve parties always have people outside of the family. In fact at least 25% of the people there are not blood related. Oh yeah my second cousin and I are not blood related just through marriage.

Often times once religion gets spoken in threads, it hijacks. Religion discussion is boring and resolves nothing, cause minds rarely change on the subject.

Death Valley Driver has an awesome filter. Granted, it's not a spam or swear filter but a word/phrase filter. However, nothing is more awesome than seeing a thread that was SUPPOSED to be entitled "Which television shows have jumped the shark?" changed (via the filter) to "Which television shows have humped my mom?".

Oh and my "religious" beliefs fall squarely under agnostic. Simple as that.

I'm Catholic (I think). Well I believe there is a God and there is Jesus but I don't believe there is a Hell or Satan. Just some shit people made up to scare others into thinking if they don't pray ever single second they'll burn in this huge pit of fire.

Edit: Oh yeah I think two guys making out is hott! :D

I think two girls making out is very stimulating to my economy. o.o

Er seriously, though... yeah it stimulates my economy.

I wonder what makes seeing two girls making out a very hot situation for men... and vice versa for women (sometimes, not always I hear). Probably just the whole "it's not right" thing.

Somehow I don't think your theory applies to the majority of men in the world that share this interest. I say this because when I see two girls making out, I become happier. =\ Homosexuality on my part doesn't really seem to pop up in my head for some reason... <shrug>

No, I meant more like, "phew, I can watch these two people making out and enjoy it, without risk of being seen as gay (due to watching a guy making out)" or maybe more likely "phew, I can watch these two people making out and not be disguted by looking at one of them"
