My friend bought me Season 2 of 24, which is my favorite season. So, is anyone else a big fan of this show? I know Az worships Jack Bauer and all but any fellow Bauerites? Also, what's your favorite season? Gah, I'm creaming my pants just talking about his manliness.

I like it, but I really didnt like season 4. I thought it kinda went downhill that season.

But on the plus side, the daughter was totally missing in the 4th season. Seriously, that girl just annoyed me the entire series. How is she so easily able to get into more and more crazy situations, MULTIPLE TIMES during each day of each season? Season 2 probably highlighted it most, but damn I wished she had died a while ago.

Season 2 was the best I think. After the first season, season 2 was still feasible, and the plot was a little more epic. From season 3 onward, it kind of passed the barrier of semi-believability. I mean, his daughter comes to work at CTU, despite him wanting her safe, and what happened at CTU in season 1, huh? Not to mention that they get yet ANOTHER mole in CTU (they didn't learn from last time?). Then there's Jack just happening to be back in CTU at the critical time in season 4...

It just got ridiculous. Good show, but no longer as good as it was in the first couple seasons. I like Bauer, but they should really have changed the hero of the show around season 3, or changed the location/scope of the show...

Yeah, when they said everything was going to change in the first 10 minutes, they weren't kidding. I really wasn't expecting them to kill off main characters that quickly, and on the first episode too! I was kinda worried when Jack brought that kid with him (the usual whiny angsty kid holding the hero back-syndrome :p) but it went okay. Jack looked more and more pissed before every commercial break and you seriously could feel the tension. He seriously looked like he was gonna rape people while simultaneously eat their babies.

Jack is without a doubt inaugurated into the badass hall of fame with this ep. I just wish he did more torturing in his interrogations this time, like at least blow out Stingers kneecap. Seriously, you know he wanted to.

I'm not really buying the "evil transition" for Logan this season.

The entire season up till the last 5 minutes of last weeks episode, he was just an idiot. Now, they're trying to make the timid idiot into a evil bastard.

It's to sudden of a change, to hard, to drastic to do this in just one ep, I just cant see it working. I try to ignore the parts we see him now and just focus on Jack, even though it's inevitable that they're gonna have to meet at some point.


On the plus side, how insane was the last 5 minutes tonight? Jack fucking let police DIE just so he could get out of that bank without a second thought.

I really am not buying the president being a traitor story to well seeing as they made him out to be a blubbering idiot for the first half of the season and now making him an instant bad guy.

The only cool part I saw from this episode was when Henderson cut Audrey's arm(?) to make Jack give up what appeared to be the tape.

That and how Jack escaped this episode. And how Heller fucking owned him with a cheap shot.

My other question so far is: What happened to Curtis? It's like Wayne Palmer is the new black sidekick on the show :meh:

Many fans noticed this and began calling the number as soon as the episode concluded. Some received a voice mail message telling them that they called the 24 prop phone and to leave a message. I listened to an audio interview with one of the producers saying it wont be set in China next year, which is probably to be expected and yet another copout by the 24 crew. At the end of each season I'm always hoping CTU will be left out and it'll just be Jack on the run or actually set in another country, or just SOMETHING.

Oh well. Was an ok season, started off strong then went the predictably stupid route. So far my favourite seasons in order are: 1, 3, 2, 5, 4.

Great stuff, plus its the second most dramatic season, after the 1st where his wife dies, in this one we see him struggle with drugs, put up with a new partner (who he actually pulls a trigger on, luckily for Chase the gun wasnt loaded) and an emotional breakdown at the end of the season.

Everyone has their own order of favourites, but season 3 gets way too much flak. The last two have been slipping in quality in my opinion, they really need to plan their seasons properly before filming. And get rid of CTU FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

I agree, they should have a season where Jack is alone in a foreign country working on his own, or with a small group. Something different, other than with CTU every season.

You need CTU. You need the crazy political back stabbing that take place at CTU or the horrible hiring policy that they have. Basically you just can't get rid of CTU it adds to the show.
