Hello everyone, I'm a long time reader first time poster. I have a cousin who is leaving to work in Japan for a year, and I'm trying to get him something useful for Christmas. I've had a long standing interest in Japan, and I spent part of a summer there for language study, so I at least have some idea of what he might need. That said, it's been a few years, and I don't remember all the details. :(

One thing I remember being very useful for me was a borrowed copy of the "Tokyo Metropolitan Atlas." I figure it would be useful for my cousin as well, but I notice it was published in 1997. I have the ISBN, so I could probably track a copy down if I had to, but I was wondering if there were newer or better options out there that anyone could recommend.

Any other clever ideas would also be appreciated :D

I ganked a Tokyo map when I was at Narita, even though I was headed for the Kinki region. Heh.
