I was wondering what (if any) pets everyone had.

We have a big house.. In our household we have 2 Cats (Panda & Midnight), 2 Dogs (Sully - Border Collie/German Shepard Mix & Sunshine - Yorkie) and 2 Chinchillas. (Shake Zula [aka Coca] and Coco)

Technically only one dog, (Sully) one cat, (Midnight) and one Chinchilla (Shake) are mine. The second Chinchilla is my boyfriend's. The Second dog & cat are my mom's.

Panda, Sully, & Midnight are only allowed on the first floor of our home. (And Sully has the backyard, too.)

The Chinchillas live in our (Mine & Boyfriend's) room.

And Sunshine just follows my mom wherever she goes. (Mom lives on the first floor, but the kitchen & computer are upstairs.)

So... What kind of pets do you guys have?

Two cats.

One of them owns you, me, my family, your family, and everything else on the planet. No joke. For fun, he breaks busses in half. He sits in busy intersections while cars start flying for miles in all directions!

BEHOLD! HE IS SAM! (aka- Samuel L. Catson)

And here are both cats. The other one is named Milo (anyone seen Milo and Otis? You know, that remake of the Japanese original...)

I have 2 dogs and 2 rats.

The rat's names are Pip and Squeak (pipsqueak... geddit?) and the dogs are called Mouse and Diesel. Mouse, because when we left the house and came back she'd make odd squeaking noises in her excitement to see us - she still does. Diesel, well, just because I guess. My brother came up with the name, he just said "hey, why not Diesel?" and so, Diesel.

We've had 5 cats in my lifetime, all of them have either died or run away. So, no cats for a few years.

I have two chihuahuas, one mixed mastiff/rottweiler, and one cat.

My smallest chihuahua is named Honey for her golden coat, the other is Mocha beccause she is colored mocha, white, and cream.

The mastiff/rot. is named Pasha (dunno if this is correct spelling), which is supposed to mean "General" in Turkish. My step-father names him.

Then I have my cat, Athena. She's pretty much mine as she usually comes to me for food and affection. She likes to tease people by smacking them and running away.

And I used to have a cat named Milo, and he looked just like Milo from the movie. He was huge, though... like 25lbs.

One day I hope to get a Husky or German Shepard. Either named "Rex", "Menchi" or "Akamaru". I'd only name the German sheppard "Akamaru", however. Seeing as Huskies don't have red-ish fur.

I think it's illegal here to have more than 2 or 3 dogs without a permit. What about there?

Speaking of dogs, one day I want an Alaskan Husky. I love 'em.

Ya it's illegal here too, but my neibors pretend to own some of em for us if the cops get cocky.

Actually, some of them do! They're really cool! Red and white fur with blue eyes. Huskies are wonderful dogs too.
As for pets, I have 2 dogs, a Siberian Husky named Natalie and a Shiba Inu named Sakura, a Himalayan mix cat named Magic, two horses, an APHA (American Paint Horse) named Julie, and a Welsh/Hackney pony named Maddaline. I also have three fish, but they don't do much so I don't really count them.

Red and white fur with blue eyes.

This is why I love huskies, they have blue eyes. Every other dog I ever saw has brown, almost black, eyes.

APHA (American Paint Horse)

You said APHA. Where's the other A come into it?

Stands for Amercian Paint Horse Association. It's just a registry, but when you say paint horse (here in the States at least) you say APHA, if your horse is registered. Just one of those crazy horse things. It's more of a color breed than an actual breed, she's really mostly AQHA (American Quarter Horse) ;)
Oh and I had a Husky that had one blue eye and one brown eye, his name was Jackie and he was awesome! Unfortunately he got very sick and died. :(

So what's a PAINT horse? A horse you've painted or something? :p

I hate it when dogs die. I had a dog who died of tick poisoning, it was one of the saddest days of my life. :( I loved that dog.

Thank you! Huskies really are great dogs! When my daughter was born, Natalie would lay down wherever my daughter was and wouldn't let the other animals near her. It was really cool, it was like she was an alarm system (she would sleep by the crib at night and howl at us if the baby woke up).
My daughter is responsible for naming our Shiba Inu, Sakura (and calls her Sakura-chan) after her favorite character on Naruto (I know, that's really sad, I let my kid watch Naruto).

Jay, a paint horse just means it's spotted :p

And yes! I hate when pets die! I had to put my other pony to sleep last year, and that sucked! :(

Cool horse. Beautiful creature. What's she like to ride?

You're braver than me then. I don't think I'd be able to watch any of my animals being put down. One of my cats got an infection and had to be put down, I couldn't even watch that, I was crying too much.

(By the way - like my new title? :p)

Nice Jay, and yes, you are a brat!
I actually held my pony's head and was petting her as she passed away, that was very hard! Oh crap... I'm gonna cry! :(

We all sat around my first cat as she died of some throat infection.

She choked... slowly.

It was so sad to watch, and it still has an affect on me.

I've got 1 dog, a 13 year old miniature schnauzer.

When I was growing up, my family had two cats and another miniature schnauzer (who lived to be 16). One of the cats died of heart failure while in the kennel when my parents were out of town and I was in college. The other cat had to be put to sleep because her behavior became too erratic after the other two pets died.

We happen to have two insane dogs: one is a minature Border Collie called Holly Berry and a mutt of what-we-don't-know and gave a trying to figure out and a friggin' freigh train of weight Francesca. And then there's the guinea pig my mom brought home one day that I swore loudly was not my pet, there I wouldn't take care of it- funny, cuz now she and I are best buds. And finally, this little devil of a minature hamster named Cottonball that I'm dying to turn into a fur rug.....

We've got a cat, a quail, and a parakeet.

The cat is my sister's. Since she has to go to New York, my parents and I are usually stuck taking care of it. The quail I got from my science teacher a few years ago. The parakeet was dumped on us because the owner didn't want it anymore or something to that effect.

I'm not an animal lover but I use to have betas and goldfish. I use to have 3 betas named: Grandpa , Fishy, and Fishy Jr. I know, I didn't give much thought into naming them. Grandpa was beautiful but he got murdered by my sister-in-law. *sniff*sniff* As for my goldfish, I didn't give a damn about them. They were just there for feng shui. They killed themselfs when I went to visit my parents for the weekend. Besides fish, I'm tooo lazy to take care of anything else that requires me to feed daily, besides my daughter.

Fish are cute for some reason. I especially love fighting fish (betas). They are so elegant, yet can be quick to become fighters. Nice. I've never actually had any fish, but I've spent a lot of time with people that had some. They're so comforting to look at while drinking a nice glass of wine.

Since I live with my dad now, I don't have any pets. But at one point we have all of these: 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 frog, 1 horned lizard (forgot exact name), and one Blue and Gold Macaw. FYI Macaws are the largest members of the parrot family.
Our Macaw was about 2 feet long from head to tail, and it never actually had a name, really. For 5 years, we either called him Baby, Precious (my mom's names), or just "bird" (my dad's). As in "Go feed bird." Something I learned from that is how incredibly intelligent those animals are. He actually learned to use a few expressions. For instance, when he liked a food, he would say "wantsome." He also learned the meaning of laughter I think. At one point, he was on the bed with me while I was eating spaghetti watching TV, and when I wasn't looking he ran over, took a noodle, and ran off to the other side of the bed laughing  . Yeah, not many people have a parrot steal food from them, AND laugh back. Eventually, he became too expensive to maintain, and for the sake of his health, we donated him to a parrot breeding center a few years ago. Later, my dad got a snake, and he ironically was much less dangerous than that bird. Those birds will bite the hell out of you if you piss them off.
