Meh. Joe Satriani, Adam Jones, John Petrucci, Slash, Mike Martin/Oli Herbert, Petri Lindroos/Kristian Ranta, Steve Vai, Alexi Laiho/Roope Latvala, Richard Z. Kruspe-Bernstein/Paul Landers... and that's all I can be bothered thinking about at 5:54am... they're all better than him.

Thats ok, nothing that impressive among that, sweep picking was the most complex thing he did and it was for very short bursts. look for videos of michael angelo baito. this man is rediculously good.!

I've never really understood the circlejerk for Malmsteen. Yeah, the guy can play guitar absolutely phenomenally, but he can't write a decent song to save his life.

songs maybe, however he is very much based in classical, so he can write a fantastic classical composition, check that album out. its really different compared to say rising force. but i like most of his stuff, granted its not as good as many but its still decent.

The old Jesper Stromblad (In Flames; responsible for that GREAT solo in the song "The Hive") has a thing or two that can teach this kid.

Otherwise, person's decent. Nothing groundbreaking.

Anyone who really likes guitar playing check out John 5 - Virtuoso

Thats a really awesome album. He's an incredible guitar player and the album has this really awesome mix of styles in it. He can write an awesome insturmental song that speaks for itself.

Michael angelo batio at his finest, this is rediculous!

Michael angelo is just a circus act. Same with others like Rusty Cooley, Francesco Farreri etc All boring in my opinion. They can play fast and technical, but tell them to make a song....it becomes below par.

Batio really is insane...I remember when my friend showed me his videos...I was amazed.

Are there any other electric guitarists that re-play excisting classical songs like this guy?

Smegging hell, can you imagine Bach's Brandenburg or something with an electric guitar?

I'd probably melt from an awesomeness-overload.

You'd probably like Yngwie Malmsteen. He's a neo-classical guitarist!

I actually admire his arrogance! My friends in Sweden supported Malmsteen once, he told me all the dirt about him. The man is just a legend :D

He flipped out onstage too, during a song, the stage crew used a yellow light and he flipped out during a song LIVE "Hey, NO YELLOW! don't spoil my groove!" :D

My hero :p
