In order to kick off the new forums, a Tale of the trip some of us took to get here.

Ok incase you didn't know, during the switch to the new forums, the old ones....still existed. Some of us weren't able to see these forums. We didn't even know there was a new forum until slowly...the population dwindled away.

It was a very wierd event and I decided to track some of it. It seems awefully long, but It's actually a bunch of oversized pictures. Take your time and read it if ya'd like. Oh and I don't think I need to say I didn't make it up :P Enjoy?

It all started when D_Pad told me he couldn't get into the forums(hah!). It was a sunny boring crappy day of Augest 11th. I was on aim and Msn(aim is better). Of course at D_Pad's plight, I laughed at him and mocked him. I said I was "special" and "he wasn't good enough to be let in."--while of course doing a superhero pose that he couldn't see through our MSN conversation-- Well....ironicly I find out he was granted access to a new forum, and I was stuck in the old....

A few minutes later, I found this startling picture. This picture had to be a joke, it was a mimic of the forums I once knew. Same sub forums(general, I am a Japanese school teacher, etc.), same site...just different. To explain let me illistrate a thread I created at my find.

This thread continued...to the sick realization that we were stuck in a time portal. This picture of a new forum just like our very own, did indeed exist. IT WASN'T A FACADE!! Where the hell are we? Why the f are there so many swirls of cinnimon sugar in every bite?? Turns out...a few of us were stuck in a portal of old and new. For some reason, we couoldn't get to this new forum...needless to say...it was chaos.

This was horrible, Loc was gone. He was suppose to fend off the evil toasters.(10 year war, long story).

Then it was MRian to go, our only inside source. We were....for lack of "smarter words," screwed.

Yet to our luck, MRian was still here...but only to say final words before "the end."

I kokujin, was frightned for my life. Evidence of "hold me."

This is when I knew...it was time to take pictures, notes, save any evidence of the truth. I knew if I came in here spamming "Greetings...I come from another forum...yet this forum." You people would throw hot batteries at me and tell me that the toasters have already won(NEVAR!!); I needed to provide PROOF.

You want proof?? PROOF OF THE MADNESS??! Can you Handle what HAPPENED??? You CAN'T!

In fact, in this scene MRian goes to work, and NOTHING else happens.

There were 3 of us left....or mabye 4 I lost count. But we were alone...with no where to go, we tried to leave but we couldn't. We even restarted....our computers!(*GASP*). We were desperate and lonely, and we all figured there was no way out. No matter what we tried, that forum link with the promise of a "NEW" forum...kept us returning to the same place. We were forever trapped in.....

That's right....with no place to run or hide. I was begening to forget who I was staring blankly at the threads. Threads about zero tolerance, threads about music and "meanest things you've ever done to someone." Some jacka$$ even made a thread thinking he can speak Japanese at a native level. Pshh, what an idiot.

I looked at these threads...and a tear rolled down my eye. These threads might dissapear forever. Never more. What if I wanted to see page 3 of "Avatar Cornocopia"? What if i wanted to know the meanest thing Jay-Man did to anyone?? What if i wake up one lonely Monday and I wanted to read about "kids choking themselves for fun" to cheer me up?? These great threads that once were, I knew in the back of my mind...would probably dissapear into abyss. I had to take a picture, it would only be right to commemorate this soon to be loss.

These things we're holy to me now. There's no way I could ever tarnish this moment. I sat there and tried to tell myself they would never go away, that this perfect scene that I was admiring would never betray me. And then something else sparked into my mind

- Wait a minute. This forum's soon going to hell. Me, Jiant Panda, and Elliejay(who now returned from these forums somehow<---that's still a mystery) we're in these(now old) forums by ourselves?? With no Mods...? No Az to lay down the boot? And No one to stop us??

For those of you too blind to read the topics...good, because you will be corrupted if you do! Your eyes will never heal from the horrar of subject worthy threads that were created. Threads with an average view of 5 and an average longevity of 4 responses. Threads made for the sake of accomnpaning other threads to make them look better.

At one point, I wanted to make a thread to direct you to the next. "Look for Spam underneath." It would have said.

An army of 3 single handedly in a matter of minutes filled up Page One. Page One was no more and Page Two was feeling the heat....Later we were joined by another solider hiding within the confines of OP8, Kaziel the oh so not mentioned. He was sent by none other than Loc and informed us of the switch to come. Apparenlty, Loc has something called witchdoctar. Whatever it is, i'm sure it's useless and a bluff. Together we conquered the "lol Rules and Regulations lol" and defeated evil. Yes....we were proud men and women. Locks, bans hammers, none of that could catch up to us. We were moving at the speed of mach SPAM.

The battle was over, WE WON!

I think to best sum up the battle, I bring you this hot lady, also the lady from the "this girl is hot, i vote her to populate outpost 9 once agai"

Hmm, first i thought it was a cache problem, but since people could still post on the old forum i figure it has something to do with a buffering method most ISP's use, it depends on wich route you take to Az's site. If you happen to hit the dated buffer you get the old page. It should correct itself in 24 hours i think

www.photobucket.com is your friend. But you'll have to resize things to fit. As you can tell the screenshots I have are kind of small and you have to try harder to read the text in the pictures, but it works.

there's also imageshack but I think their size limit sucks.
