Hey there, i'm a long time reader, first time poster :D
I am just wondering if you guys could give me some advice and/or shed some light on what exactly I could be covering in University. (as from September I shall be doing a degree in Japanese).
At the moment I feel i'm doing pretty well for being self taught.(since 16), I just aim to perhaps have a nice heard start into my course. Normally would require the knowledge of understanding the kana characters(which I already know). And perhaps 100+ kanji....now that's where it's going wrong! :P
I mean I don't start until September 2006. And currently just finishing my college work(which includes Education studies combined with European Languages), I've already sent my application to Univeristy and they said they'll more than likely accept me aboard! So i'm basically asking, if there anything I need to be aware of? Any books or guidance or basic japanese ethics I'd need to know about?
A few books I own at the moment and read are ones by Joyce & Yasuko Mitamuru entitled Let's learn Kanji, also an oxford uni press of take off in Japanese not to mention a book entitled minna no nihongo which should be arriving in the post!
...whoa! sorry about this looong insipid message guys!
