Who is a decent human being? I want to see a person who is decent as a human being. What qualities make he/her to be decent? Please would you tell me who is a decent human being?

I'm not sure there's such a thing as a decent human being. I like to think of myself as decent, but when I see so many other women being bitches (of all the customers who have pissed me off at Walmart, only one of them was a man), I wonder if that's how women are supposed to be. If I'm a decent one, am I really a woman? Or am I the only woman, and all those other "women" are something else? I just don't understand women, despite being one myself.
And yes, when I see a customer complaining over something ridiculous or no big deal, I wonder if they're human at all.
Ardo, do you think I'm a decent human being?

I cant say that I'm really in a position to pass judgement on who is and isnt a decent human being. I can't even think of all the qualities that would produce one. Only two qualities come to mind so far.
Patience
Understanding

They don't call it the golden rule for nothing. Those who are considerate to the well-being of others, and are willing to sacrifce a portion of what they have* to aid someone else.
* And by 'have', I don't necessarily mean material items. Sacrificing a few moments to give someone a kind word, a parent working hard for the good of his or her children. The ability to give of themselves because they -want- to is imo what makes a decent person.

Decentness, I think, comes from how you'd like to be treated if you and this other person's situation were reversed. Then again, that doesn't always work, esp when the customer is blowing crap all over the place. Then they just want to get a rise out of you, it seems
I have to agree on the golden rule comment. I think there are universal rights and wrongs and all that jazz, so basically, someone who follows those. Not really a religion, but just a kind-hearted person who thinks of others.
Personally, I don't think there are many out there. But that's me and my cynical ways.
I'm the only decent human being. Ever.

Start with somone who doesnt want to kill/ torture/ eat you and work your way up from there
I'm pretty decent most of the time. I will admit that I'm not always though.
My parents are very good people. Especially my father. I couldn't ask for anything more from them.

In Japan, I imagine a decent person definition would start with: doesn't Kancho people, doesn't grab people on the train, doesn't treat women as second class in some ways, non-xenophobic
doesn't treat women as second class
That would just make them unrealistic.
Just kidding. But not really

Treat others as you would want to be treated, and try your best in life if you want to be a good person. I try to follow these rules.

Decent person, how bout thinking of others once in awhile for a start? I'm certainly not saying I'm a decent person, but I see way to many ppl out there that are totally selfish and have no sense of others at all. Just try to be aware of how what you are doing affects those around you.
