Okay, the purpose of this thread is for everyone to post one song (at least limit it to one per page) that they feel everyone should listen to. Once you've posted, make a point of trying to find and listen to every song in this thread.
My song that everyone has to listen to:
Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiment. 6 1/2 minutes of the most energetic music I've ever heard.
lol I repeat myself but
Seven Caged Tigers (Acoustic on H.Stern) - Stone Temple Pilots, sooo relaxing.

Most people here definetly have to listen to "Turning Japanese" (preferebly the new version) courtesy of Bubbles, who gave it to me. And it's a good song.
And Common People is nice too. By William Shatner!

Hate me for listening to (Old) Rap songs:
Puff Daddy, Faith Evans, 112 - I'll Be Missin' You
The song's a tribute to Notorious B.I.G., since he died of a fatal street shootout. Although I think rap isn't all that (aside from the tempo and beat), I tip my hat off to Puffy, for showing his true side to the world, and showing that rap isn't all about shooting out "dem n***as," keep on hoe'in', taking young women to the CandyShop....
You get my drift, people.

One of the best songs done by one of the most underrated bands of all time.

LMAO, you guys probably expected this.
Fade To Black - Metallica: Mellow Song about a guy who feels Alone, Unknown, And forgotten. The only thing can give him confort is his own death. He decides to go to "comfort" instead of it being the other way around...
Note: Fade to Black is argueably the greatest Metallica song ever! Even people who hate Metallica actually respect this song. i highly suggest you give it a try.
Master Of Puppets - Metallica: 8:34 song about drugs (cocaine to be specific). Throughout it all not one word Directly suggest the song is about drugs. Very poetic...
One - Metallica: Song about a soldier who loses his arms, legs, sight, hearing and speech during WW1. His body would go into spazes for no apparent reason and the docters don't know why. The Base General and a Soldier go to see him. The General is at a lost but the soldier realizes the spazes are morse code for K-I-L-L-M-E.
Sorry for all the Metallica hehe.
Iron Man - Black Sabbath: Song about a super hero who defeats a evil villian way out in space. On his return trip to Earth he goe's through a magnetic field (hehe, now you know how I learned to fly) which turns him into Iron, making him an even more powerful Super hero but, while in the field he has a premonition and in it he see's the destruction of Earth. He races to Earth and once reaching it he tells the people of what he has foreseen. no one believes him and he is exiled into space. Feeling used and betrayed Iron Man plans his vengence. And in due time he goe's through with it.
In the end. Iron Man fulfills the very premonition he has tried so hard to prevent. Poetic Justice at it's finest....
I will post more songs later because right now it is hot and stick and I feel umconfortable.
Like you guys read this post anyways :(

Lots of good, sane and reasonable suggestions so far.
So, for something completely different--
try "Big Eyed Beans from Venus" by Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band.
"Cause a man or a woman without a big eyed bean from Venus
Is suffering with the worstest of curses
Yeeeeeaaah, you're suffering, with the gray special cases."

Jiant Flying Panda-
I'm surprised to see Iron Man, when I was in high school in 75, Paranoid was one of the "Big 3" heaviest albums out at that time. The other two were, Led Zeppelin II and Grand Funk Railroads "Red Album", the one with "Inside Looking Out". It's interesting that all 3 were second releases.

Conjure One - 'Center of the Sun': Possibly the most beautiful song ever made. It's just beautiful.
Delerium - 'After All feat. Jael': Also another beautiful, beautiful song.
Blind Guardian - 'Battlefield': For some great metal, Blind Guardian is it. Not just this song, but all their stuff is awesome.
Ben Folds - 'Fred Jones, Pt. 2': This song is so subtle; it makes you sad by convincing you that you want to be sad. Did that make any sense? No, but just listen to it.

Everyone must listen to Katamari on the Rocks.
I am dead serious. Well that and I guess... Paranoid by Ozzman himself and Paint it Black by Rolling Stones
Kalamari on the rocks?
Hmm, is it tasty? :p
Myrsilus

Probably the tastiest song I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. Yes, indeed. But then again, all of Katamari is tasty. How tangent.
Halloween on Military Street by Insane Clown Posse (can be found on Forgotten Freshness vol.2)
I said KALAMARI, not KATAMARI.
I was being a smartarse. ;)

Halls Of Illusions > All. :D
Forgotten Freshness > The Great Milenko
Also you seen Big Money Hustlas?
Forgotten Freshness > The Great Milenko
Also you seen Big Money Hustlas?
NOTHING > Great Milenko. It'd have to be pretty special to eclipse Great Milenko, I love that album. Especially How Many Times. :D
"How many times will my neighbour beat his wife? Somewhere in that house, there's a butcher knife. Fuckin' drunk, swingin' his fists about. Why don't you wait till he sleeps and take 'im out?"
As always, you can't take those guys too seriously. :D
And no.

You did say Kalamari... damn. But it is spelled calamari. On that note, calamari is delicious. Almost as delicious as Katamari on the Rocks.
Almost. :D

I know how calamari is spelt. I couldn't take the piss out of your song if I used the correct spelling, now could I? :D

I understood your little joke quite well and I agree that without the spelling mishap the joke would fall flat and lose its meaning in this discussion. What I am stating is that "K" that was substituted for the "C", I read too lazily to notice what had been stated. I certaintly was not questioning your ability to spell. I think we all know that if I tried to call you out on the misspelling the shame would be on me.
And you're an ass. Cheers.

I refuse to sit here and be called a donkey like this!
I am, in fact, an ARSE. ;)

I think I am going to hate you eventually, yet respect you for your ARSEness. That was extremly juvenile, yet... so utterly annoying. Props to you.

Maaya Sakamoto has a beautiful voice in my opinion. I like Gravity from Wolf's Rain. She sang it really well.

There are so many songs that I would like to add but,
The song for tonight,
"Marquee Moon" by Television
Sometimes music is not to listen but actually see!
You can have the image of seagulls flying by listening to this.
Once you listen to it, you'll see what I really mean, MAN!
This is NOT music BUT art!!!

Gigi D'Agostino - The Riddle.
Wonderful music, the lyrics make little sence, but they're catchy.
Demons & Wizards - Touched by the Crimson King
If you ever read the Dark Tower series, you'll get some of this. If not, it's still a good song.

Panic In Room 109 - Jazz Butcher -- For cool guitar and references to getting pissed, and going around destroying Tokyo with Godzilla.
Homophobia - Chumbawamba -- The most haunting song I have ever heard (prolly cause it's true and happened in a place i knew well)
Harlan - Jazz Butcher -- How may references can you identify.
Lean on Me (I won't fall over) - Carter USM -- Inspiring but sad one of my all time faves.
Gin Soaked Boy - The Divine Comedy -- I just love the lyrics
I'm the darkness in the light
I'm the leftness in the right
I'm t he rightness in the wrong
I'm the shortness in the long
Justified and Ancients - KLF and Tammy Wynette -- I HATE this song but it is stuck in my brain for ever ... They're justified and they're ancient and they drive an ice-cream van...

2112 - Rush
The entire song, not the Overture/Temple of Syrinx crap that is common. If the song isn't roughly 20 minutes long, it's not the whole song, which sucks.

Note: I posted these on the old forums as well.
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana: Ummm, I really shouldn't say much about this song. If you don't know/never heard this song then you must have been living under a rock for like the past 15 years. It's pretty much the song that defines the 90's.
Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin: Yeah....
