Speaking of Hard Gay...

My co-worker (an American fellow of Hong Kong descent) decided to have a cosplay night with his girlfriend. She bought a racequeen outfit (no surprise there), and he somehow decided/was coerced into buying the complete HG getup.

From what I hear, they enjoyed their night together.

From what I SAW -- on VIDEO -- on his girlfriend's mobile phone -- he is WAY too talented at the HG Pelvic Thrust. And he carries it out with such enthusiasm.

The students of ours who were also at the party, being shown that video by his girlfriend, were much impressed. We're working on the management to allow him to wear it for a full day of classes at Christmas time.

I don't think he's actually homosexual. He might be, but I don't know. It seems his entire act is based around being confident and showing off 'masculinity', as it were. Only time I saw him, the entire crowd was female and they went beserk - I think it comes down to that.

Hard Gay is the shit. I remember a couple weeks ago I was talking to my host family about him and I mentioned that I thought it would rule if he were to appear on Mechaike. Turns out he did a couple of days ago and I MISSED it. Did anyone happen to TiVo it (such a person would rule).

Anyways, for anyone who has a sick sick wish to see this a clip from this show (like i did =D) just go to that URL. Here's the summary for the episode (copy and pasted):

"A 7-minute capture from a Japanese variety program. The story-line of this sketch is as follows: A character called “Hard Gay” (by comedian Masaki Sumitani aka “Lazer Ramon”) thinks that the “Hoo!” in Yahoo! is stolen from his often used exclamation and goes to visit Yahoo! headquarters to try to get a deal. He wants to be in their ads, even goes to prove that he's popular by auctioning off his hat to Yahoo! online auction site. Sure enough, the hat's bidding jumps to about $250 pretty quickly. It's obvious Yahoo! cannot use this character for promotion, so “Hard Gay” goes off to prove what he can do. There's no shocking material in this unless you're offended by hip-thrusts. Whether or not it's funny is up to you. Note that Yahoo! offices sport a massage room."
