View Full Version : Stuff I've been thinking since the mariko incident

I'm feeling abit disturbed after thinking about this topic.. i mean, a 13 yo boy whos pretending to be a 16yo, highly horny girl? when i was 13 i was still exploring wtf those things hanging between my thighs were... not to mention that he types abit to sophisticatedly for a 13yo ( i have friends who probably can't comprehend half of his posts, let alone type them out themselves, but that's a story for another time.)

So it leads to the question: are kids nowadays overexposed to things like this? or is this the so called western/MTV culture that is to blame?

lets look @ the lives of people in the west compared to asian countries (just a typical situation)

Western: After highschool you're prety much expectedd to move out and stay on your on, be independent etc.

Asian: we spend about 1/2 our lives staying with our parents/grandparents under one roof. Supposedly this is because we were thought from young to treasure family ties. Not that the other half of the world doesn't.

does this course of action lead to exposure of taboo topics and other thing that our asian parents usually warn about?

just wanted an opinion after this whole incident. And maybe i'm just readin between the lines too much

and if you find my post incomprehensible, i apologise in advance. can't really put my thoughts into words as i'm working and my eengleesh isn't that good ^^;

Children are exposed to sex to a much higher degree nowadays. I know the first time I saw a porn film was when I was about 6 years old. My dad was drunk and did not really notice I was sitting on the damn floor watching. Talk about enlightenment.

Not only things like that... school is a major source of gaining sexual knowledge. Somehow it just circulates from one little bit of information. Sex-ed teachers really don't get the point across well either. It's mostly the parents who teach kids about the taboos of sex.

All this stuff is on the Western side, mind you. I'm sure other places have similarities, though.

Kids gain the knowledge, but they still have not grown up. It takes some serious catalysts to make one grow faster mentally than their peers. Anyway, most kids don't have to go through this, so when they gain this knowledge the best way to deal with it is to rant on and on about what they know. Then other kids learn about sex. It's a cycle.

mmmm, enligghtenment at such a young age.

Parents here usually think its taboo to talk about the birds and the bees to their children, so we're mostly stuck to learn by ourselves. I remember thinking:" I have to do THAT?!" when i watched my first porn film, because what was being pictured and what i knew at that point of time was poles apart in differences.

but hey, i didn't turn out as bad as what i've seen so far. :D

Yeah, It's kinda messed up here in the west. Sex sells and everything and everyone becomes sexualized, yet at the same time, sex is a horrible and nasty thing that should not be talked about and nudity should never be shown to children for it'll scar them for life. Tons of violence and theft in videogames is fine for kids, but sex and nudity are big no nos.

I think one of the reason so many kids are curious about sex these days is because of their high exposure to it on tv and the little information they get on it from parents and school. I know of some school's whose sex ed class was "here's some condoms, have safe sex!"@_@ Fortunately, my school had a really good sex ed program, so I never had to ask my mom anything and didn't want to.^_^

Our sex-ed class here in Singapore is usually taken by either the discipline master/ vice principal in gatherings in the school hall, and we skim through body parts/genetelia (sp) in our science classes somewhere around 14-15. I can assure you that it became more confusing then enlightening for us back then, but i won't really know now.

Sex sells, this is definately true, but we don't usually get alot of sex on commercials & TV here (heck, We can't even show Sex & The City, and when it finally went through our censors everything important was snipped, so how fucked is that?) so our exposure is definately lesser.

Which reminds me of the recent local murder and raping of a 7yo child. now that is SICK.

Time to go intergorrate a 13yo kid in my neighbourhood :p

Not in western Europe. We're pretty much sticking with our parents till after college/uni, age 21-22-23. Unless you're going to work after highschool.

Ahh... My schools had a form of sex ed since 1st grade, but in 5th grade is when they actually start to teach about the mechanics of sex. The sex ed stops after 9th grade, but the best sex ed class I ever had was the sexual reproduction unit in Biology 20. The teacher even brought in a bunch of different methods of contraception for us to look at, although throughout the whole unit, she kept quiet the fact that she was pregnant.

Heh, I never went to sex-ed, I learned about most stuff from movies, and TV and such. I learned what sex was from a kid in 4th grade, I learned what a condom was from watching Dateline, I forgot what I thought it was, I probably thought it was like a part of a female's anatomy.
Since I missed Sex-ED, I find myself asking friends questions and stuff about it, and it's way uncomfortable, but I want to know it so I ask. Like one time, I had heard something about "Wet Vagina" and asked my friend what that meant.... he explained it, and I was like what the hell..... I didn't know that.

There's probably some stuff I still don't know.

Sadly I think the best way to learn about sex is to just watch t.v. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. I know in sex-ed I didn't really learn anything, but when I watched t.v. or talked to my friends we developed great knowledge on sex.

Censorship may help tone down sex exposure, but there are many other sources besides television now. Many kids actually go online for that stuff. If they can't do it at home, maybe a friend has access to it. There is no escaping it here in the west.

And about rape and murder of children... I am sad that it has been happening so frequently here in the west. I swear I cannot turn on the television without hearing of abducted girls and boys and sexual predators. It's really becoming a crisis. This may have to do with the sexual exposure... to an extent. Parents have more influence in this.

I can never ever picture myself doing ANYTHING to a girl under 14.. its just so... wrong. But then again i have a normal mind, so yeah. Might also be exposure since young that doing stuff like that is wrong. talking about sex is wrong, etc etc.

I cringe sometimes when my friends get abit too graphic in their descriptions of sexual acts and whatnot. And God forbid if i can even get it outta my mouth if i'm talking to a girl.

i'm a goody two shoes. and a hopeless Nice Guy™ to boot.

You should be really happy you have such a clean mind. I suppose more Westerners than most people think have really dirty mind. I've hinted a few times before on this board that my sexual exposure at a young age was rather... real. Now that I am older I think moments like those can have a bad effect on the mind. I have complete control of myself because I am a firm believer in upholding one's honor, but it's like freaking demons in my mind prodding me, telling me to like and do certain things.

Trust me, I'm no sex offender, I don't hunt children, I don't even talk to my friends about sex most of the time.

Anyway, I guess this is why I think something needs to be done about sexual exposure. It's getting out of hand and its destroying lives left and right. I turned out pretty alright... save a bit of an active mind when it comes to sex, which I can control perfectly well. I won't go into details of my problems, but they do cause me pain. Others, however, aren't so lucky.

i share your pain on this one. Althogh my sexual exposure wasn't at a really young age, i was really immature then, and i guess alot of it rubbed off even until now. Not that its a totally bad thing, but it does make one withdraw from the other sex. A few experiences that i had still haunts me every now and then, but i've learned how to keep them in check

Yep, DJ, it really does make you withdraw. I've had this problem for a while but I am resolving it slowly.

It takes a while for that kind of mental trauma to become a little easier to handle, but it's possible. These incidents in my life have scarred me, but I can deal with them.

It's an interesting lesson, but I would never wish it upon anyone. People are better off not being corrupted like that.

Hmm you also believe in Self Fulfiling Prophecy?

I actually think theres a lot more to the mariko nonsense than what we yet know. I am SURE mariko had a few posts at the old board, which doesn't jive with the timeframe 'his brother' posted.

And like evan said, his posts had for too much sophistication for a 13 year old. I don't just mean the sexual content either. Vocab, grammar, suntax. All that was above a 13 year old really.

Myrsilus
08-17-2005, 11:04 AM
I could talk much like whoever Mariko was when I was 13. Then again I was tailored to do so by teachers. They saw I excelled in writing and the like and had me do a lot to improve. Not that big of a deal.

Not saying things aren't weird with this person, though. And I have certain thoughts about this "brother", but I'll keep it to myself. Not in the mood.

Not all thirteen year olds are braindead morons that can't spell. Some are actually extremely mature. That said, there aren't many. But they're there.

I doubt they'd go to a random forum and act like a 16 year old girl, however.

Think about it. Most 16 year old girls on internet forums don't talk like Mariko either. Vocabulary, grammar, perfect punctuation, no lol's, rofl's, etcetera etcetera. Most of them spell just as bad as the average 13 year old boy. And the average 13 year old girl spells even worse. Only on the internet though - in the classroom they may very well be the best of their class.

The 'talk' at fucking 18? Hoooo boy...

Thast just... so weird.

18? That's a little late... It can be difficult for parents, though. My parents, however, never gave me the talk. They told me that I seemed to know so much more than anything they ever knew as children, and when they asked me about sex, I let them know that I was covered in that area. I think they were kind of happy they didn't have to have the talk.

Only on the internet though - in the classroom they may very well be the best of their class. While I agree that it could be the case, theres also... the organisation of ideas that 'mariko' posted that read at something higher than pretty most 13 year olds, even the smart ones.

Two good examples of this can be found when Le Fou went at its throat.

I don't see why announcing that I have sex regularly should be embarassing in any fashion whatsoever. It is a human thing, and since we have the power to do it, why not? The only reason why most people don't discuss it openly is because society tells them not to.

But hell, since when have I ever listened to society?

And

But... who has ingrained into us that discussing such things in public is bad? Hmm? If society in general had involved in such a way that talking about our left knee was highly embarrassing, then we might as well be having the same conversation about that. Instead of wearing clothing that reveals a lot of skin around the waist, women would wear clothes that expose the thigh. If discussing our right earlobe was highly embarrassing, most people would cover that, although some would tantalizingly leave the rest of the ear exposed. This is quite rhetorical, but I think I get my point across.
Besides the misuse of the word involved as opposed to evolved, there is far much 'thinking' in that post in particular to have come from a 13 year old troll. Certain vocab eg 'rhetorical' and 'ingrained' are not words that even many smart 13 year olds would use.

It could be a 13 year old, busted by his 17 year old brother. Or this outing could be an alt of an OP9'er who is very very lucky that the original troll, Mariko, has yet to return.

But there is definately more going on. I knows its, I do!

Great! Could you explain it to me?

Kiljou
08-17-2005, 02:05 PM
*cough* There is actually a good explanation for my twisted, sick freak of a brother's good wording and idea organization. First, we must examine everything he has done this summer, which consists of two things:

A) Read
B) Go on the web, pose as a 16 year old girl who has lots of sex, and get engaged to a 14 year old with a hedgehog as an avatar.

Also, he does quite a lot of writing. He's had a few poems published, and writes monstrous novels that he posts somewhere or other. Anyway, he is more than capable of acting the part of a 16 year old girl. I surmise that he got his knowledge about periods from a book.

Long story short, what I'm seeing is quite normal for him.

The one thing that gave him away was how he spoke. The "society is pushing us down" argument I have had with him many times. Also, I am reasonably sure that no girls talk that way. Granted, I've only dated four girls, but I think I have a better handle on them than my brother.

Im a very cynical and paranoid man Kiljou, but in the end i don't really care if Mariko is who she said she is or your brother or if you are both. It was a great joke and was really funny just not very convinceing.

You know what? Neko, Mirian or Bubbles could all be men and i have posted such possiblilties, but they are alot more convincing. It just doesn't matter as this is the internet and its very unlikely that many of us will ever meet.

I believe that the internet is pretty much a land of fantasy and if you want to be a 16 year old nymph who is just trying period sex so be it. Next time just let it flow more. Better read what the other girls say and you can get a drift on how to act. Being alittle more extreme either way is ok.

You must be talking about the people who don't go to college... and basically their parents kick them out because they don't have a job.

Usually if you go to college, all of your stuff stays at your house and usually you live with your parents up to a year after you graduate college because you look for a suitable job... at least where I live its like that...

exactly my point. You move out after you get a stable job. Asians don't. We might even be staying with our parents after getting married, with the main excuse being that the grandparents can take care of the kid if both parents are working. Not uncommon at all.

I'm 22, and i don't see myself moving out to live in the next 5 years, unless i get a comitted relationship and get ready to marry. Not to mention i have a Full time job.
I moved when i turned 17. People here usually move when being about 18-20 (i think). I moved back temporarely to home at one point, i was about... 21. Felt kind of embarassed to live at home at that age (mainly because its so usual that people live alone at that age here), eventhough it isnt that rare.

Last year, when I went into New York City, I went on a subway. Having lived in the suburbs all my life, I was not prepared for the jolt that occurs when the train stops. I fell onto a college girl, and found, to my mixed horror and perverted delight, that my hand was resting on her left breast. I deeply both regret and delight in what I did next. UNINTENTIONALLY (got that?), I squeezed her breast. She thwacked me with her purse and ran away as soon as the doors opened.

I didn't mind getting to grope a college girl, but I DID mind having that huge bump on my head for weeks.

And from what I hear, this sort of thing happens all the time in Japan. Well, at least it wasn't pedophilia. The girl was around twenty, and I am 17.

... thought I'd comment on groping. Once in middle school there was this stampede of students during lunchtime. Don't ask me why, I still have no idea why this happened, but the entire cafeteria ran out into the hall and condensed so badly it formed a wall of students. Unfortunately, I was caught in this, but since I have always been rather small and sleek I was worming my way through them. I did get caught at one point, and at this point I noticed I kept getting smothered by something really soft. Then I felt the same thing all over my back. Then my hands. I was surrounded by girls and their breasts were all over me. It was unintentional, but I did grope a little.

I eventually got out of the wall and escaped before I could get caught by administrators or by whoever these girls were. And by the way... for some reason these girls were all somehow well endowed. I probably should feel lucky, but really I just felt dirty.

Oh yeah I've been groped before. Once a girl grabbed my side while flirting with me, another rubbed my chest, one rubbed my stomach... some guy palmed my crotch... er a girl sat on my lap and felt me up a bit.

Funny thing is I am so cold to such actions that I just sort of blew it all off. I don't mean to be like that, but it's in my nature. Which is why they usually stop, even if I might have enjoyed it. And no, the guy palming me was not enjoyable.

DJEvan
08-18-2005, 06:05 AM
^ I'm beginning to suspect you're an Andriod(sp)..

i mean, how can you not enjoy having a girl straddle you and feel you up abit. unless she's roseanne(or whatshername in the drew carrey show).

Myrsilus
08-18-2005, 06:09 AM
I may be an Android. Remember, you never know.

I do not enjoy girls I barely know coming up to me and sitting on my lap and then feeling me up. I need more intimacy than that. I was raised by a mother only, so that male part of me that would usually get damn randy in that situation was not developed well. I'm not saying I don't enjoy it, it's just I choose not to pursue it.

That and, like I said, I can be rather cold at times. I've had many girls try to be my girlfriend but I tend to be way too cold and, as a result, I scare them off. My demeanor is partly the reason I usually get girls who watch me and give me looks rather than girls who are willing to come up and flirt with me.

So yeah... I'm pretty much an Android.

DJEvan
08-18-2005, 06:12 AM
mmm, i didn't know we had a common background..

hell yes, having some random girl come up and sit onto me is wierd, but well, the last 3 girls who sat in my laps were either quite intimate with me already, or know i expressed interest in them/etc.

So, when will the assimilation begin? I'm not resisting. Much.

/star trek

Myrsilus
08-18-2005, 06:17 AM
Hah. I sort of figured we had some things in common since we post so well together in threads. Something must be similar between us.

Not many girls get intimate with me... only the strong-willed, curious ones manage to get that far. I do know one girl who thought I was this amazingly mean, cruel guy because I don't speak. At all. If I don't know you, don't expect conversation until I begin to trust you. Well she kept at it and began to call me the "sweetest" guy. 'Cause I am, once I let down my guard. We had something, but it never happened... mostly on my part. She chose some other guy who was having some flings with other girls. He was more popular than me as well.

I know I should probably change a bit, but it's too natural for me to not be cold. I guess I'll have to wait for another curious one.

Assimilation began when I came here. You might already be assimilated.

why is the act of teenage boys pretending to be girls on the internet big news to everyone?

Seems to me that more people were actually relieved that their suspicions were proved valid. Not many were actually shocked.

I don't think we should make this discussion into what people can take personally over the internet. Some people open up more on the internet and can therefore feel more emotions when something like this happens. There are many possibilites, but it seems like you're trying to make people start talking about how it might be considered weak for one to be humiliated on the internet. Let's not go there.

Fujin, Fujin, Fujin... How many times must you be told? Have you not read Mating Rituals III? It clearly states that indifference is attractive to females, as it shows that you are secure with yourself.

Well, my sick freak of a brother mentioned, after he had been revealed to be as such, that he thought he and D_Pad should get together. If you want to know D_Pad's reaction, observe Jay's sig.

When I was 14, I was at a party, and my girlfriend just walked up, and straddled me. She put her arms around my neck, and just hung on for about half an hour. Now, I knew she was a bit clingy, but this? Worst part was, I got a boner less than a minute after she sat down. So, I had a bulge in my pants, and it would so happen that the area between her legs was right on it. I panicked; What was I going to do?! So, I concentrated on the image of a bear in my brain, and my boner went away. I think my girlfriend noticed, though. At this point, we were simply the hug-often, kiss-every-once-in-a-while sort of couple. We had sex the next year, and I have the sneaking suspicion that she didn't think it was that good (...I just owned myself).

On the topic of groping, I would, in eigth grade, intentionally set up situations where my hand brushed across a girl's breast. I was good at it too.

Well I can't argue there, I have heard of such studies validifying that statement. It's just hard for people like me to accept since I usually scare the girls away.

Seems true also when you consider that many of the abusive men exhibit such feelings towards women as well. It's been discussed, but seems women seem to love being ignored.

Just supporting this theory.

Kiljou
08-19-2005, 12:25 AM
So basically, you're just making it worse by trying to ignore them. What you should do, is ask the girls who are the most obsessed with you on a date. Seem desperate. They will hate you because you will seem insecure, as they will think you need a girlfriend.

You know, I spent five years puzzled like all hell about girls. Then, I read Az's stuff, and it all suddenly became clear. Thanks, Az, you're the reason I got my last few girlfriends, and I can say that everything you said to do worked perfectly.

Myrsilus

I also want to focus more time on my martial arts training since I am nowhere near content with my current level of skill.

I am trying to open up more to girls, but I will not change who I am. That is just lying.

There's probably some stuff I still don't know.

note:<--------15 years old.

I was wondering, does a girl's taste change if she's sick? Because I was eating my girl out today, and I got a mouthful of juices and I nearly vomited (I felt horrible because she got all insecure for a few, but then I comforted her and it was cool.) because it was like... ugh. But like she hasn't been wet since her last period (which was a week ago) and there was a BIT of discharge, too. However, after the first time, I did it again later, and she got wet but it didn't taste horrid. So, I was wondering if the taste changes if sick/haven't done it since the last period?
