If you're talking about the Archie series, I haven't read it in a while. I really stopped reading after the Metal Sonic arc (that's about issue #'s 86-87 or something) They stopped being good. The only good thing about 'em is the the cover art. The actual story art just looks...like garbage. I remember back in the day when those comics had some awesome artwork (both on the cover and in the actual stories). Anyone remember the Knuckles series? Those were awesome. Shame it only lasted about 30 issues or so. It didn't suffer having ridiculous amounts of main characters you could lose track of the Sonic series got. Archie needs some new writers and better artists and return the Sonic comics to a quality series.
I think I'll pick up that Sonic the Beginning, I never got to read the first ever issues.

I saw that comic around the convenient stores a few years ago.
And it's true, the front page always has the best artwork.

The only issue I have is the Super Special with Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
I used to work at a comic book store on Saturdays and Sonic comics were very popular. We ordered 2 or 3 of every issue that was available (usually from around #20-current issue). About 6 months later we'd have to do it again because we were sold out. The Knuckles comics didn't sell quite as well, but would eventually sell out too.

No, FOOL, the creators of the comic also makes a Sabrina Comic, and probably that means that one Sonic comic had a little storyline of Sabrina.

I knew they also make the sabrinia comics, hell the sabrinia comics have been around almost as long as the archie comics have. i know this because i have a few of the 70's archie comics and they have a little 10 year old sabrinia in them causing trouble. (poor jughead, he's the brunt of some of the jokes whenever sabrinia was around.) now as for the sonic/sabrinia thing, i just guessed that there was a crossover between the two series by what had been said in harper's post. from 99-03, every store that sold comics wasn't getting the sonic comics. so i'm having to play catch-up in the earlier issues.

Nah. It's not like the games at all; at this point, there are around 50 MAIN characters, and probably upwards of about 300 supporting characters. it's pretty fucking in depth at this point.
even just reading to comic 50 and understanding everything that went on to that point takes a lot of comic reading or you'll be confused as hell... ><
