This is for all college students and students who are about to go to college.

Recently with the terrible hurricane Katrina incident President Bush and his party have gave a large sum of money for rebuilding efforts down in Louisiana. I would tell you how much, but I really don't know. I just know that it is a LOT.

You all might say "HOORAY! Good job they need to fix that area up."

Do you ever stop and ask where that money comes from?

To pay for all the money spent and to get some of it back Bush has cut funding on such programs such as student loans and grants and food stamps.

I won't go into the whole problem with food stamps, but that is a BIG problem.

Instead of cutting taxes and funding to the big oil companies who get the money from your pockets when you pay at the pumps he decided to cut something that helps benefit your education.

In short President Bush has just made it even harder for people to get into college. With the current cut now such programs as FASFA and student loans cannot send out as much money as they did before and now have a limited amount of students they can put on those programs and funding. The federal government has made it to where you cannot rely on them if you want to get into college.

It now pretty much relies on you to go to privet organizations and privet funding to get the money for college. The problem is that those funding gets many applicants and some of them are just too hard to get in the first place.

Also what if your grades aren't perfect? People who have great grades and did well on the ACT or SAT will have nothing to worry about and the college would probably like to give you a full ride, but we all know not everyone is perfect and not everyone is going to get a full ride.

So I propose the "George Bush is a Big Fat Doody Head" march. It's nothing radical, but anyone who thinks this sucks should write to their congressmen and write with big words and tell them exactly what you think about this. Write a lot and tell them how much you think this sucks. You should because you general education depends on those kind of funding.

The government should find better things to cut rather than important things such as that.

EDIT: This is only proposed and not passed.

One phrase to say.

"I never really get political jokes. I see too many of them get voted."

Oh, I don't know... maybe get a job to pay for college?!? Yeah, working for what you want is kind of annoying but so what?

And yes, I have practiced what I'm preaching.

Isn't always that simple for some, some people already work for the lack of money they need, and working anymore would make it useless trying to do your education simply cause you have no time to study.
And yes, i've practiced what i'm preaching.

Hey, you gotta have people enlist in the army, so why the hell give them alternatives to pay for college? The administration would be shooting its own leg doing that! ;)

Come to Canada. Our universities are just as respected, but at a third of the price. :)

I just read about how the oil companys are being grilled on their profit by some Senators. Part of the discussions mentioned how Bush recently gave the oil companies a raft of tax credits. And the oil respond 'We didnt need them! Thats why our profits rocketed. We're not gouging!' or somthing along those lines. Sad.

Note to those considering Canada: If you're not a citizen, it's going to cost 3X as much, which just happens to almost even out with American schools.

I think it was a waste of money in the first place. It is pretty obvious that Louisianna isn't very grateful to recieve that money when they refused to help pay for it. The federal government only asked for them to pay 9% of the bill back when they could have asked for as much as 25% legally. That is a bunch of crap if you ask me. They expect the rest of the country to sacrifice all this money for them but when it comes to them actually helping to pay for themselves? They say nope wont do it. What a bunch of bastards.

Ah, well, at least it beats what the White Supremists did. Only provided funds and charitable work to the White victims of Hurrican Katrina.

Funny thing is, mostly all of them were really angry about what they've got, so they either threw it away, or returned it. :D

He's almost as bad as Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is the most evil thing since the Kancho. And that's saying a lot.
