You said it was "grammatically perfect in every way." Don't struggle. Just give in.

But it WAS grammatically perfect in every way...

I dare you to go to D_pad's post and find something that's not grammatically perfect. :D

Also, Jay; You labeled the thread "The Colour Green (an argument)", what followed however was a statement, not an argument. An argument is backing a statement or opinion up with facts, however you failed to provide any arguments for believing the colour green is superior to any other colour.

You fail it!

No. You should however edit it so it reads "a statement" rather than "an argument". Or, alternatively, you could edit your post and add a valid argument.

No, the color blue was the original argument. It spanned many years and many lives were lost between the rival factions.

Jay was once a great warrior in these fierce wars and fought many a battle.

Alas the wars eventually died out and was won by no particular faction. It was more of a truce.

It seems that these past few months of peace have taken their toll on Jay and he needs to feel the rush of battle once again. He has started this argument in the hope that it will lead to another war in which he can once again prosper and be the great warrior that is hidden beneath and is trying to break out.

I beg you all not to follow this thread as I have seen enough blood spilt to last 1000 lifetimes. I have since become a peace maker, and although that I once fought by Jay's side, if he tries to start this war, I will do what I must.

Let that be a warning to you Jay, and to the rest of you. Live in peace.

Thankyou for your time.

i have no idea what we're tlalking aobut as i didnt read pages 1-2 and some of 3

but i'd like to once again state green and blue are the same color.....according to my japanese teacher :P.

he tried convincing the class they were the same and it wasn't working.

Then he said Japanese people view them as the same color just different shades.

that....i'm not too sure about. as there are different words for the colors and they are very different. but who knows, so i'm just going to say, for the sake of confusion

SAME COLOR!! RAR!!

Red, Blue, Yellow are primary colours on the Colour Wheel (http://www.saumag.edu/art/studio/chalkboard/c-wheel.html). In the artistic world these three colours are the basis for any other colour. Every other colour contains elements of at least two of these three colours. Hence they are PRIMARY, which means first. Like csrjjsmp link mentioned though they are subtractive primaries, used for printing and 'solid' applications. Such as painting, artwork etc. The more the colours are mixed using say paint or coloured pencils, the darker things get.

Red, Green and Blue are primary colours for light waves and light sources. They, like the dudes link said, are additive. The more you mix these three colours, the lighter things get. But you won't ever replicate that using paints for example.

Basically Red, Yellow, Blue AND Red, Green, Blue are both sets of primary colours, but for different sources and applications. By denying RYB, csrjjsmp pwn3d himself in the face hard.

Sorry, the link I gave gave a poor explanation. I should have read it instead of going by google summary :(
From http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci211805,00.html
There is a fundamental difference between color and pigment. Color represents energy radiated by a luminous object. The primary colors are red, green, and blue. When you see a red area on a CRT, it looks red because it radiates a large amount of light in the red portion of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum (around 750 nanometers), and much less at other wavelength. Pigments, as opposed to colors, represent energy that is not absorbed by a substance such as ink or paint. The primary pigments are cyan, magenta, and yellow. Sometimes black is also considered a primary pigment, although black can be obtained by combining pure cyan, magenta, and yellow in equal and large amounts. When you see yellow ink on a page, it looks yellow because it absorbs most energy at all visible wavelengths except in the yellow portion of the spectrum (around 600 nanometers), where most of the energy is reflected.

The colour blue was in fact the original argument, I admit. And I also admit that I fought on the side of blue. I committed many atrocities, most of which I am ashamed for.

However, I since admit that I fought for the wrong side. I wish to fight for the side of green now, and I shall only do so in a peaceful way - the original war taught me that peaceful means are much better than violent means.

Please, I implore you. Fight for the side of green.
