Post your specs...lets see who has the best comp.

I'll post mine later as the comp I'm using atm is being a lazy cunt (reason #1 why not use a public computer, because it has that goddamned filter on everything you view and as if that wasn't the worst of it, somehow they have still gotten a multitude of varying infections on this computer).

However as I remember
AMD Athlon XP 3200+
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe MoBo
Chaintech GeForce FX 5900
my case is generic w/ approx. a 300w power supply & 2 fans (well it was only $10)
Otherwise, I have a generic monitor ($50 and it has discoloration in the upper left and right hand corners...luckily all parts are still under their 3 year warranty...now if I can only find the receipt)
Otherwise, I'll update this when I get back to my house later today.

I know mine isn't the best, I built it a year ago. Here's the stats reported by my script...

[Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2 (5.1 - 2600)] CPU: [2-Intel Pentium 4, 3200MHz, 1024KB (0% Load)]. Uptime: [3days 4hrs 51mins 29secs]. Record Uptime: [4wks 49mins 39secs]. Video Card: [ NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT ]. ScreenInfo: [ 1280x1024 32bit 60Hz ]. RAM [Usage: 353/1024MB (34.47%) ]

The missing parts is that it's an Antec File Server case, 16x DVD+/- RW DL, DVD-ROM and the monitor is a 17" LCD that I got a long time ago. I'll be adding RAM, HD, new videocard and a new monitor later. My current videocard was cheap last year when I bought it but it still handles the latest games well since it has 256 megs of RAM on it.

heh so far I can't wait to get my comp back... decided to drop it off to a comp.-repair shop since I have job searching to do and well... it's going to cost me $91 for a new power supply that's 480w instead of my current that is only 230w, while the 500w one I wanted would have cost $100 and still involved me needing to do the maintenance myself...of course I'm going to check what he does with my system as I seriously don't trust any other living being near it (essentially I'm going to wipe my HDD as soon as I get it back). But other than that, I think this is perhaps the easiest forced upgrade I've ever had since I don't have to do the work and I can work on getting a job to make the money back.

Otherwise, I'll probably be getting myself an AMD64, GeForce 7800, and some other fun shit after I get myself a more permanent job so either within 2 months or in 2 years...one or the other.

The 17" is referring to a Dell XPS Gen2 I have, not that old 15.7" Gateway.

Computer I built last year

19" CRT
3.0 GHZ P4
1 GB Ram
1 20 GB Boot Drive
1 120 GB Internal
1 120 GB External
Geforce 6600 GT (Downgraded from a 6800 Ultra when I had some issues)

I just ordered a new HP laptop with identical specs except a smaller HDD (80 GB + the original 120 External) and a X600 256 MB vid card. Its a pretty solid Laptop for the price.

you could of just taken a screen shot; hit the print screen button on your keyboard and then paste it into Paint.
