It's the new powerpuff anime. here is the link (http://www.toonygal.com/ppg/). i want to know what everyone thinks about it. personly I like the idea, but what i'm worried about is how the show will be done. if its good then great, but if not,well it will more than likely kill whatever fans the powerpuff girls had (both boys and girls). also here's the link to the online comic Powerpuff girls doujinshi (http://bleedman.snafu-comics.com). its a good comic, if anyone wants to check it out.

it depends if the story is good or not. sometimes you can have a show that looks good but the story is shitty, and then have a show that looks bad and it turns out to be pure gold. it all depends on the story, don't always go thinking it is a peice of shit just by how it looks.

Agreed. Jumping to assumptions so fast is rather idiotic. Though I'm keeping my hopes low. I never really liked the Powerpuff Girls, but I like anime, but it's all magical-girlish now... Oh man.

PPG's were fun in the begining, but leading up to the movie is seemed like the creators were just going through the motions. Following the movie, it was no longer worth tuning in to. Oh there were a few giggles here and there, but it lost its edge a long time ago.

Just because something is anime doesn't make it good either. It also depends on what you feel is a good story. The only magical girl series that ever caught my attention was Magic Knights Rayearth, every other MG anime bored me to tears so far.

It better have a good story, shows where the characters grow up from being kids usually suck. I mean look at rugrats, it was an awesome show when they were toddlers, make them teenagers and its just shit.

Agree. They're not Rugrats anymore, they're ugly teenagers with nothing to do. This might ruing the whole cute-ness of PPG.

It looks like someone shoved Sailor Moon & Puni Puni Poemi together... then sprinkled on some PPG.

Bubles looks like a Blonde Chibi Usa.. (Actually if you're farmilliar with Sailor Moon, she looks A LOT like Sailor Iron Mouse.) Blossom looks like Poemi.. Buttercup looks like a Meru/Ryoko mix. (Ryoko as in Tenchi Muyo!)

And I thought TATU having their own Anime was stupid. =\

Honestly I think it will probabally turn out pretty well for the creators. "Pawapafu Z" is certainally built upon a popular franchise and as such it should at least be profitable. There really isn't enough information, clips, and pics about the show to really make any solid judgements on the quality of the series but I will say that the animation looks of good quality which is a good start. The whole point about them being older isn't really that bad and as far as mahou shoujo Japanimations go that is pretty normal. The main characters are never 5 year old kids. 10 year old kids maybe but considering that Japanimations of this type are usually targeted at teenagers and young adults it would be very smart from a production standpoint to make a show about little children. This also wouldn't be the first time the characters have had their ages changed for a Mahou Shoujo adaption. Just look at parody series; "Mahou Shoujo Pretty Samy". For those familar with "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki" would know that Sasami is about 8 years old physically but in "Mahou Shoujo Pretty Samy" she is 10 years old and is done so as a slightly older character fits the environment of the show better than the original version. Of course in the case of "Mahou Shoujo Pretty Samy" the show was very successful and the mahou shoujo adaption of Sasami has become alot more iconic of Sasami than her Juraian counterpart. Considering AIC is currently working on a new "Pretty Samy" project we know is still considered a profitable franchise even though it is like 10 years old. Considering the team working on "Pawapafu Z" I don't see any cause for the show to not be a success. Cartoon Network wouldn't bother making connections with a big company like TOEI animation to produce an anime based on their characters if they were planning on producing, as some of you said, "shit".

Oh my god, I wanna see this show soooooooooooo bad just to see what the hell they did to it. I used to love PPG when I watched CN cartoons (my brother made me stop watching cartoons, he didn't know I watched anime and when I told him what I was watching I'd say Adult Swim, he didn't care if I watched Adult Swim. Asshat.) but than it got meh towards the end of it.
Bubbles is definently the best, and I can't wait to see how the hell she'll act in Japanese...................

No kidding, the show is just way too typical when compared to its US counter part. And weirdly enough Blossom and Bubbles appear to have completely switched personalities with each other. The worst part though is that the Mayor no longer wears his monocle. :gloomy:

Thank you for keeping us informed. The original show wasn't bad but after watching the first two episodes of the new series it seems to really be shaping up to be alot better and probabally what the show should have been from the get go.
