I have a Japanese mac and for some unknown reason, when I try to post in Japanese, it comes out as question marks. (Points to sig). Any suggestion or help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
こんにちは。
This is a test to see if my computer can post in japanese.
Edit:
-----
Oh, hmm, it worked for me. How odd. I do not use a mac, so I'm sorry that I cannot help you. The purpose of the test was to see if i could also use japanese. If I couldn't, then that would help me find out what's wrong with your mac. But seeing as how it does, I'm sorry, I'm out of ideas.
Your computer probably already has language packs installed or you/someone has installed them.
Normally I'd recommend Microsoft.com for language packs, but this is a Mac and that won't work. :(
Hmmmm, I'm going through the same problems... let me see if it works on Firefox.
It works on Firefox in Windows with the language pack installed.
やった! It works on Firefox, so it's not like the forum is being anti-Mac. If you are using Safari, which I usually do, I'd say fiddle around with the options, or just stick to Firefox with OP9.
Jay, stop stating the obvious.
Jay, stop stating the obvious.
Well it doesn't show for him or her because they're using a Mac.

Yes, for the trillionth time, Firefox and Mozilla work well with Japanese support. IE and Safari have some serious issues.
As a side-note, if you are using Jim Breen's WWWJDIC server for a dictionary, you cannot look stuff up in Firefox for some God-unknown reason. So use IE for that. Pain in the ass it is.

IE on a Mac is pretty old now, its only version 5 still, I use IE 6 and Firefox on a PC and have no problems with seeing the Kanji, but I dont think I'd have much luck with IE on Mac.
I'd use Safari or Firefox on Mac.
