In London now :) Will be here until Friday.

Man, I'd almost forgotten how expensive stuff is here. Got a pizza at the cafe downstairs while I was waiting for my room to be prepped... 9 pounds?! That's like $16!!! For a personal pizza!!!

*sigh*

Alright. Will see if I can take pictures while I'm here and will post them when I get home.

It was a little bigger than that... Maybe about 7~8" across? But super thin crust, so not very fulfilling.

I fell asleep earlier (since I didn't sleep on the plane) and by the time I got up, it was about 8:30 pm. I took a shower then went out to find me some fish & chips (I'd been dying to eat some), but all the local areas are closed. :( Looks like it's room service for me...

He's probably there for his company, he has to travel a lot for it. But can't answer for him.

Praetorian is my PR manager ;)

Here on business. Flew in a day early because we ended up saving like $800 on air fare, so I had the afternoon to myself. Unfortunately, while I had only planned to lie down for a few minutes, I ended up falling asleep for about 3 hours. That's really gonna screw with my sleep cycle.

We were originally supposed to have our little meetings out in Windsor, but there was an issue with booking, so now we're having everything in a hotel in downtown London. I'm about a block away from the US Consulate, and maybe about a 10 minute walk from Hyde Park.

Finally had a steak sandwich. Cost me 14.50 pounds... which comes out to about $26. Thank god the company is paying.

I hope you can find some fun as well, while your there for business. I bet, because of your company, you have a great hotel room and service.

I'm sure we'll find a few minutes here and there to have some fun ;)

The hotel itself is nice, but the rooms are surprisingly small... and old. I don't even have an alarm clock :( But, that's what wake up calls are for, I guess.

Alright. Time to try and get some sleep. G'night folks.

Yay! people in England are cool.

London may seem expensieve, but that's because you get no dollers for pounds.
For me, if I buy something from the US, it seems stupidly cheap (well, excluding shipping!)

But yeah, have a good time and all.

Oh yay.

Nothing quite like getting up at 3am then not being able to go back to sleep =\

At least maybe tonight (if I can stay awake) I'll be able to get my fish and chips.

^ I hope you get your fish & chips, Hapacheese :) (though I think fish & chips is way gross.)

Yum- Churico (pronounced Sh-reece) and chips is way better. I highly doubt they have that there though.... actually, I hardly doubt that's anywhere else beside in the new england states and maybe Portugal.

I got my fish and chips for lunch today :) We went to a local pub and had lunch outside... the weather was absolutely beautiful. Just amazing.

Worked all day, nearly fell asleep during a presentation, but made it safely through without getting yelled at by the CEO. Oversaw the setup of the equipment of tomorrow's big meeting, had dinner at a good Japanese restaurant, and drank just enough to be feeling quite lovely, thank you very much.

Man... I love my job.

while you're there, buy a plastic sword, a cheap halloween mask, and run through the street at top speed. I'd do it, but I'm way over here.

Man... what a trip the last two days have been. After our grueling, day-long meetings yesterday, we capped off the night by taking a dinner cruise along the Thames River, capped off with some horrible, horrible karaoke. Everyone got piss drunk, and even the CEO started to do cancan with some of the marketing ladies. Then a Japanese guy and the lone German guy started to talk about how Germany and Japan have been friends since World War 2... so, of course, I had to remind them who kicked their asses :D

Then today, we had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for dinner, all the while watching the soccer (ehem... I mean "football") match between England and Poland. The dinner degenerated into arm wrestling matches. And I've got to say, the US *represented* in full force. Undefeated. We ruled.

Tomorrow, I'm out to the countryside to visit one of our development studios, and maybe stop by an English pub on the way out and grab a pint of good old English bitter.

hehe glad to see you're having a good time dude :D
Watch out for some pubs, most are really nice and friendly but you get some that are just...weird. You'll know what I mean if you find one... `-`

Man, I overslept this morning. The CEO's assistant called me up in my hotel room this morning asking where I was ("Duh. I'm in my room."). I didn't realize I could brush my teeth, take a shower, get dressed, *and* take a dump in under 10 minutes.

After today's little outing, we ended up coming back to the hotel and drank (some more) at the bar in the lobby. There was a guy playing the piano, so someone secretly requested Elvis Costello's "She" and they pulled me up to the piano to sing. Nothing like singing with a live pianist in front of 50 complete strangers o_O

But alas, tomorrow I go home. I'll likely be leaving for Tokyo in about 2 weeks, so if anyone is in the Tokyo area, lemme know! :D

You sang in front of 50 strangers? Well, your not shy at all, are you?

Sounds like it was fun. Did you sing well? :D

Heh... When you're out until 3am drinking (heavily) every night, sleeping in seems to be the right thing to do :D

I think I did alright. I forgot the lyrics for one section in the middle, but I picked it right back up. Not particularly shy, but it's been a while since I'd sang in front of such a large crowd.
