I haven't gone on /b/ for quite a while and never really went on /r9k/ but that's kind of besides the point. ATT is spitting in the face of net neutrality and who's to say that they won't stop with just that part of 4chan or even 4chan itself? If they're allowed to censor this website, what says they can't get Something Awful or YTMND or websites that speak out against ATT or any other website, hell, even OP9. What if other ISPs start blocking shit, too?

If you use ATT, like I do, send a complaint to a customer service representative. I will, as well. Even if you hate /b/, even if you think the memes are unfunny or the raids go too far, do this for freedom of speech.

Do it for America!

:us:
'Cause I'm proud to be an American.
At least I know I'm free!
And I won't forget the men who died
and gave that right to me and I'd proudly stand up
next to you
and defend her still today.
There ain't no doubt about this land:
God bless the U.S.A.

Nah, but srsly, shit sucks.

Nah, but sysrly, it was an network bandwidth issue caused by a botnet effecting SoCal ATT users DDOS'ing 4chan's server, not anybody spitting in the face of anybody. From what I've heard it's already over, too.
I misguidedly clicked a link to /b/ in a discussion about this a little bit ago and saw someone getting fucked by a dog. Good ole 4chan. I couldn't really fault ATT if they really did censor the cesspool for its content.

Haha, yeah, it's back already. ;[ Damn, I wanted this to turn into something big so that AT&T would get lots of complaints because I'm not that big of a fan of AT&T in the first place. They have some shitty customer service, frequently illegally cap people's bandwidth, etc. Was hoping they'd get some DIVINE INTERNET BASED PUNISHMENT but alas. At least the net is neutral and not biased like me against AT&T.

Hahaha where'd you hear bandwidth caps are "illegal"?
Cause it's wrong, FYI. It's their network and there's a clause in your contract saying they can theoretically do it, if you don't like it too bad READ THE TOS SOMETIME

God, though, I love my ISP. Verizon gives me no shit for bandwidth, my little sister was introduced to Limewire by her scummy little friends (motherfuckers) and yet I haven't gotten a single RIAA threat, they block CP sites but when anti-piracy groups want them to block other shit with that system they go "Heh fuck you" and ignore them, and the customer service is always by Americans with intelligible accents, and available until like 2 AM every day.
Hell yes.

Ah, well, I figured if you're paying for 1.5mbps and they're giving you 345kb/s, you call them out on it and they deny it, that that'd be illegal.

Your plan's speed is a limit, not a promise. Again, read the fine print, this time on the advertisements for the plan. They're sold as "Up to 1.5mbps". Not only don't they promise you that speed, but they can't. The internets what they be, there are a lot of things completely out of their hands that effect your network connection.
For the record though, they should just "deny it" when you call up and say your internet is slow, but rather offer technical support for fixing it.

Heh. It's almost dissappointing that the blocking's gone. A war between 4chan and ATT would have been interesting to watch.

Its dissappointing to me because /b/ is a steaming pile of shit that NEEDS to be blocked in more places >_>

I saw a little image on another forum where someone over at 4chan is planning an attack on ATT. Something about spreading a rumor about the death of the CEO, causing the stock price to come down.
