It's Boring. Maybe its not exactly matching my music tastes at the moment, but I couldn't be more bored listening to this album.

I actually enjoyed American Idiot before I got overtly berated by a few choice songs I pray never to listen again. Also, in terms of the Rock Opera material it seems irrelevent thanks to its overt political message and how I don't give a shit thanks to the fact that GW isn't president anymore.

Some tunes are catchy, but this album just is mediocre and yawn ensuing.

Yeah, Green Day in general is just monotonous.

There are lots of pop-punk bands that are far more enjoyable (and less irritating/obnoxious) than Green Day, like The Get-Up Kids, for example. It's a very limiting musical form, and GD's ridiculous attempts at rock opera theatrics and concept albums really expose that. Three-chord songs can only go so far.

Green Day hasn't been good since Minority. By that, I mean Minority was bad.

Marianas Trench's Masterpiece Theatre managed to pull off the "rock opera" sound.

Pop punk meets Queen, ideally.

Not to mention the band's lead singer got some pipes.

Songs to listen to: "Masterpiece Theatre I," (Bohemian Rhapsody-esque) "Cross My heart," "All To Myself"
