I don't reallylike Hockey but I do respect the game.

And I watch NHL sometimes and when I do it's either Detroit or NJ games. So go Devils and Red Wings!

Brendan Shanahan, not Bret. And he was a naughty boy tonight, and was sent to the penalty box many times. He had a nice fight to end his night, though.

I've been a Red Wings fan since 1984 and my family has had season tickets since 1986. I went to the home opener tonight and watched them paste the Blues 5-1. They outshot them something like 35-13. They seem to like the new rules this year. It was very entertaining.

The game went into Overtime, but it was still a tie, so they went into a shootout.
'Tuzzi could've got it in perfectly, until he friggin' choked. Naslund look like he didn't even TRY to score. Cloutier managed to look like an idiot, not doing a butterfly block. :mad:
My thoughts about their win was a Birthday luck. One of the Oilers players was having his birthday during the game. :p

The Senator won last night! Hasek was great and it nice to see he got 64 shoutout. Also Dany Heatley got two goals.

Plus, the new Shootout-after-Overtime rule sounds good to me, but that what cost us the game. :(

I'm probably the most screwed up hockey fan on Earth. My two favourite teams are the Leafs and the Sens. Yep, it's just like cheering for Britain and Germany at the same time during 1940.

Truth be told though, I'm a bigger fan of the Sens than I am of the Leafs. The Sens just seem to have their act together this year, whereas the Leafs are still stuck in the rut they've been in for the past decade or so.

And Alfredson just scored a really sweet short handed goal vs. the Habs. Shot it right through the legs of the defender!

Vancouver Canucks: 8 Wins, 1 Loss. (Two, if liable, 'cause I think they just lost to Colorado.)

I'm so biased thinking Phoenix have some chance getting into the Playoffs.

To my knowledge, Vancouver, Detroit and Nashville seem to be the Top 3 Teams...

For now.

Ottawa is pretty good too. Detroit is 10-1 with their only loss being a close game against Vancouver,though they've won a couple in OT. Manny Legace just set a record for most wins in October by a goaltender with his victory over Chicago tonight. He's played all 11 games for Detroit.

Psh. Hockey's not a sport. It's three seperate activites: ice skating, playing with a puck, and beating the everloving snot out of somebody. They should just seperate the activities: first you skate, then you play with a puck, then you go down to the bar and beat the everloving snot out of somebody.

Plus Hockey doesn't have a ball. It has a puck. It ain't a sport unless some sort of ball is involved.

Nope, the best hockey team is Detroit with their 11-1 record. That may not last the whole season, but they have the best overall record in the league.

The Sentors won again. That line of Heatley, Spezza and Alfredsson is just simply amazing. It also it nice to Hasek get his 3rd shoutout of the season. Just to think he is 40 years old and he playing like he 20.
