The sin that is Harry Potter needs to be scleansed starting by killing all the children that read it!

That story rocked so much, they made a ytmnd for it.
HAHAHAHAHA! Sweet!
BTW, Halo2 does NOT suck. Tell that to those people.
That was beautiful. LMFAO.

Nice one. I've seen the "adult edition" of that book on Amazon. It's like they're trying to justify the fact that they're reading a childrens book.

What is the difference between the version I know exists and this one you're bringing up now? This so-called "adult edition".

Yeah, they sold "adult" covers in my local newsagent.
Besides, it's not really a "childrens' " book - I doubt you could get away with calling someone a slut (which HP6 did) in a childrens' book.

Absolutely nothing.
Oh, wait.
The cover.

If I ever make a childrens book it will be about curse words and how to use them properly. I mean kids have to learn that somehow and if we don't teach them then they will learn it from the streets!

That's it? Then why the hell? Oi.
If one enjoys reading Harry Potter, then why should one care about what the cover is like? Ridiculous. I just casted a spell there, too.

so their friends don't make fun of them for reading achildren's book.
targets an interesting demographic

That is rather sad, but I guess it makes sense. Even if it is said it is not a children's book, the movies and the demographic make it seem like that.

The story this thread started from was much funnier than the video. I just get a kick out of snotty people getting torn down like that. Awesome stuff from both though, especially the girl crying "YOU BI---" as he drives off onto the freeway...

Yeah it was funnier, but doesn't mean it wasn't funny. I appreciate both. Thanks to you two for the contributions.
for the train story, I thought it was funny.
As for the other guy.....
i really don't have much respect for people who spoil things for others so they can get a laugh out of it. The train thing...it was deserved that father was being a prick.
I guess you can say the little girl had no idea but she did call him a stupid boy!
Really though, the person who spoils it gets a 2 minute laugh/giggle out of it while the other person gets a 2 hour movie, or a book/show he/she has been following for a LONG time.
eh~ can't ask anyone to side with me but i think it's a bit childish.
but yeah, the train story was funny.

ahhhhh but through the power of the internet thousands of people get a 2 minute laugh/giggle out of it ;)

Indeed. It was a cruel thing to do, but it doesn't mean it wasn't funny for some of us here.
Really it was only a matter of time before something like that happened.

I just know i'd be very pissed if I liked harry potter. I just think it's rude because i've had things I"ve liked spoiled for me. And i watch movies, play games for PLOT. If i know the ending there's really no point in me watching.
Even worsewhen it's a series, that's alot of stuff spoiled.
KujiInRetsu

True. Spoiling plots really isn't something to take pride in. But true to a Nevada police commissioner's words, there are some people that deserve to be shot. Barring that, there's always ruining their favorite children's fiction for them.

I've had my fair share of spoilers that ruined an experience for me, but I got over it relatively quickly. More often than not, though, I am very careful about what I am exposed to so that I may have fewer risks of hearing or seeing spoilers.
Like boxing matches. I love watching boxing, but usually I can't see the live fight because I don't want to pay $50 to see it. So I shut myself out of anything having to do with it until it shows up on HBO.
Yeah I'd be pissed, too, if I was a Potter fan. But I'm not, and it wasn't spoiled for me. So, in all my cruely, I'll just enjoy seeing the video. That's the way it is.

lol. well i enjoyed the story on the train, that was funny.
The video was just imature and poorly put together. He didn't even say it differently or made it funny. Also you hear ONE persons reaction for like a second....
so you have to ask what's the point. Now if he would have parked, started a casual conversation then went oh by the way it's really cool when [you know] happens I was so shocked you'll love that part!
then mabye. but the video I didnt think was funny :P. There was a guy though who was acting out the scene at line of shoppers; see now that has humor.
but back on le topic. If it's deserved sure...but alot of time it's not. It's so a stupid friend can get shits n giggles while the other person gets something they like spoiled for them.
some people get over it quickly, some people don't and they just wont watch it or play the game or read the book. And when people talk about "how great it was" that person who had it spoiled for them can't ever relate or live that experience.

Yeah I see where you're coming from. I think I'm just too much of a cruel guy. 18 years of helping yourself be raised with your mother's help does that. And she's got the dry, cruel humor, too.
Also, this is funnier to me because I've seen many tributes to it. That kicks the funny up a notch. That and I like how she said "Noooo, you bitch! You bitch!"
You're right, though. Some people can't deal with having something spoiled like that. Harry Potter fans are some of the most dedicated of all. I guess I can see why they'd be devastated, but I can't relate well enough. :p

What do you get out of that exactly, if I may ask ma'am?

HP was just too easy to guess. Give me a book with some good twists and a strong storyline. Although the only good I've seen relating to Harry Potter was a mother saying how her daughter loved the vibrating HP toy broom.

The first 3 Harry Potter books can be considered kiddy. But starting with the fourth, (judging by the movie rating and the book content) It starts getting darker and darker. In fact, in England where it was first published, it was to adults, the Americans decided "Oh, its a kid, so kid = kids book" and forever sealed Harry's doom as nothing more than a symbol of losers and kids.

Heh... heh. I guess Harry Potter is more adult-oriented than I believed it to be. From what I've read I never really grasped that aspect.
That's funny as hell, though. Like boys locking themselves with the vacuum claiming to be cleaning.

^ I have had harry potter spoiled for me twice! & I still haven't even read the book yet!
1) It was in someone's sig with a huge "HEY HARRY POTTER FANS" then the spoiler written in small type below it...FuCk!...that's what I get for lurking on other forums. : /
2) Someone had it on a shirt!...ass
I just hope they are tricking me b/c I read that part of the book to find out if it was true & it is. : (
I have a feeling though that it's not what really happens b/c it isn't towards the end of the book. Thus it has still spoiled it for me. It's better just to read & find out.

That is why I always left my bedroom door open so that they wouldn't assume I was molesting our vacuum. My hand is good enough for me!

Lmao. I agree.
I won't lie to you all, I've tried the vacuum just to see what the hell the big deal was. I wasn't all too happy. Ouchies. Then again it was a little high-powered.
Now I am feeling a bit sorry for the Potter fans... Way too many spoilers out there by cruel people. But I'm only a little sorry.
