I think it's as beneficial as a degree is Psychology.

But seriously, I think there was a thread vaguely similar to this topic about a year ago. That guy with the Red Hair and Glasses living in China mentioned something about it. It might have been a different certificate, but it had to do with teaching.

you can easily get one over the summer for $1,000 or so. Anyone who thinks they'll be teaching English outside of Japan should just nab one up, I think.
