lol. If your opinion of that illustration is "not so good", then you must be one of the greatest artists that I know. Nice to meet you wang.

About pixar studios, I've actually been there. I got a grand tour n such because I was in a technology group that did 3d art and used mac computers. You know they have 2d artists draw out sketches for characters before any 3d stuff is done. I wish i could work there they ride scooters around and they're all so creative and friendly. They decorate their offices funny, lol.

Pixar seems like a good option for me... I'd like to try out 3D graphics someday, but all I can do for now is to do sketches, which seems alright for my preference...
I also like Pixar because they mix in the fun with work. They had a huge waterfight when they were doing Toy Story (or was it Bug's Life?), and they made songs about the Director of the Incredibles, Brad Bird (He's the 400 pound Orange-haired Gorilla... makin' here, this movie...)... I've been watching too many "Behind the Scenes" Special in about every Pixar movie they've released on DVD. God, such a creative group of people to work with. :D
Pixar's like... my reality dream job! :box:

Yeah. It's a great place to work if you're an art person. My friend's a director there and he started off as a 2d illustrator. I remember his early work and it was pretty similar to yours Yang.

Two drawings. One brand-new, one not-so-new.
1. http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/7003/woodenduck7hy.th.jpg (http://img107.imageshack.us/my.php?image=woodenduck7hy.jpg)
Sketch of a wooden duck. One from a side view and the other from a top view. I made this drawing when I was in school. I sketched this on a sheet of regular paper and then I traced them in ink on to vellum paper and went over them in ChartPak Ad markers (my favorite type of markers. They work very well on the vellum paper.) After scanning, I adjusted the levels a touch and added the borders.
2. http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/9438/drawinghand9dw.th.jpg (http://img107.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drawinghand9dw.jpg)
Made this earlier tonight. I grabbed a sheet of paper and my clipboard. I had no idea what I wanted to draw and then I started looking at my hand holding the drawing pencil. I decided I'd draw it based on observation. Turned out decently, though there probably a few things I could stand to improve on.

i did that once here in a comic convention but the business wasn't all good...so i gave up...i barely got back the money that i spent on making up the posters...so now that option is out of question...
ok guys...
this is my last one for now, at least i won't do any artwork since im very busy here with my thesis project...
you guys take care and enjoy the life...i will get into the boards but just for posting and stuff like that, but no more artwork in a long time...

Your artistic hiatus takes joy out of all of our lives. I hope you will be able to resume illustrating soon.

At least add in a transparent barong!
And make him hold a lumpia in one hand, and halo-halo in the other!
