I come here because this is the only forum that works for me. My laptop is being strange. Well, more like my internet is. It wont let me go to some / most websites, it wont let me start up some games that have online multiplayer / are online multiplayer based.
I have a nagging feeling its a fuckin' virus, because I cant download any anti-virus software, or those online virus scans.
Any ideas?

My idea: get it checked out ASAP.
My computer just died from some stupid virus. But I brought it back to Best Buy and told them I dropped it and they're replacing it, yay! Actually, for all I know, I DID drop it. =(
Either way, no computer for 2 weeks.

Take the url of a website that you can't access, say www.google.com
Click Start -> Run
Type "cmd" in the run box and click Ok.
type "Ping www.google.com" (or whatever url)", then hit enter.
Report back on the results. This'll tell us if it's a browser/spyware issue, or a net connection/setup/modem/router issue.

Delete your cookies and browser cache, and reset your modem/router. Try again.

Did you happen to install "Peer Guardian 2" on your computer? B/c if you did then it automatically blocks certain connections to some sites and online games, if you did not configure the application after installation.

I didnt install that, and I also did restart my router, cleared cookies and cache. The games work alright, but there are still some sites I have trouble goin on to.
Times out when I try.

If it's only some sites, it's likely that you have either your hosts file nuking them or your ISP is.

Try system restoring to a time when your computer wasn't exhibiting those problems.
