That is correct.

I figured it was. Haven't had the opportunity to sample its supposed greatness, though.
In any case, good job man. I wish I was in Half-Life 2.

Thanks. It's rather frustrating for me right now, actually. I recently upgraded my computers so I can run HL2 with the graphics on high and it doesn't fucking work anymore. It falls on its arse during load points. Well, it loads up the main menu alright, but if I try to start a new game or anything like that it just doesn't want to work. Funny thing is, CS:S and Gmod work just fine. Oh well.

That sucks man. Hopefully you can get to that game soon enough. If you have it, you should not be struggling to get the game running.

I've already played through HL2 twice, but that was on my old setup with medium-bordering-on-low graphics. I want HIGH, damnit. I'm a graphics whore.
What type of system do you have? post some specs :)

I'd never buy a store made computer unless I had absolutely no other choice. I've got one of those Aopen XCcube barebone cases. Nifty, but a bit restricing in terms of what you can put in it, due to space limitations.
I really want a little shuttle. It's about half the height and width of your regular CRT monitor. It's got a little baby mobo in it with room for a couple PCI/PCI-E cards and... that's almost it. I love those things. :D

Dude, turn your shadows + shaders up. You can handle bloom so I guess you've got a good card.

I have Half-Life 2 as well, and it used to give me huge memory errors when I tried to load stuff up too... but I dunno, it works again!
