It looks awesome. Just thought I'd say it. What says everyone else?

It gives me that extended AoE vibe vs. The Sims and I love those games. Hmm, I'd definitely be willing to check that out.

So say we all?

Been waiting since '06...

Just a few more months...

I see a preview of this game, or read a thread like this one, and it reminds me of how much I want to play it. I then get sad because it isn't out. Thankfully I'm blessed with a short attention span and an even worse memory so I don't stay disappointed long.

Can you play online with it? I want to battle other planets.

I don't know, I still have nightmares about how terrible Will Wright's last really ambitious project was.

You actually have to play it online, not because it's interactive with other people but because the copy protection will require it. The game is going to include the same Secure-ROM software that was in Bioshock and will also be in Mass Effect. It essentially re-checks the cd key each time you play to make sure that it hasn't been installed anywhere else. Unfortunately, if you have multiple computers or have to uninstall/reinstall the game it sees this as a pirated copy. If it can't connect to their system via internet and transmit information from your pc to their system, then it won't let you play.
It's a frustrating little program, and it's getting popular with EA and some other publishers. Too bad, too, because I've been waiting for this game a long time.

Actually that's not true. They initially planned to do that, but later they decided to you use a more traditional type of copy protection. I don't exactly remember what.

Yeah, mugen's right on that one. Also, there's not multiplayer in the sense that you are directly playing with/against someone, but there's a huge networking type tool in the game that populates the planets in your games with other players' creations, and if you see a particular design or something you like from one player, you can subscribe to them much like youtube to get more of their stuff.

Merged with the other Spore thread.

IRT: I can't get it right now so I have to live vicariously through those who have it or through Youtube.

Shit computer won't allow me to run spore at a decent level. So until december I'll just have to fucking wait and pretend it doesn't exist and it just released.

Crap, I didn't realise they listed our creations online anywhere, I started a game as a sorta test so I didn't name anything properly.

That's mine anyway. Some cool creations you've managed there PCP.

Also, I felt the first few stages ended really fast compared to how much time the space part is taking, I know they're not part of the end game, but I would've liked a bit more to each stage.

I remember how excited I was to finally get my hands on Black & White and to get a chance to play.

And it was fucking awful.

The game could be better, but at least its fun, and that's the point.

Anyway, I've made it to the space age and I can say...woo...overwhelming!

A lot of stars...A LOT of stars.

"Anti-religion for $100, Alex." It's a spoof, so I've read, but I had to post. There probably someone out there who believes it...there's always one.

Question: Are they (EA) allowing Spore users to download the game up to five (5) times yet? I think that sucks; it's better than just three (3).

But the Bible teaches us that God was not done with man. For we were His creation and He then spoke to Noah in Genesis 8:21-27 after the flood.
“21. The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never gonna give you up. 22. “Never gonna let you down.” 23.”Never gonna run around and desert you.” 24. “Never gonna make you cry.” 25. “Never gonna say goodbye.” 26. “Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.” 27.”Never truly believe anything you read on the Internet. There will always be cases of Poe’s Law.”

Sounds legit to me.

Well, the "Real About Page" opens up more about that. I still posted it because I know how fanatics are and I wouldn't be surprised. I mean "God Hates (insert noun and pronouns here)" are around.

That looks strangely identical to how six of the 10 Commandments look.
