Hi guys--my aunt sent this to me and asked that I forward it on. This movie is a family production and is getting a limited theatrical release before coming out on DVD. My aunt heads a small production company, my uncle is a writer, and many friends and family made appearances in this film, and there are also some names or faces that you may recognize from TV or other movies. Does anyone live in an area where they could go see this movie, or have any interest in seeing it? PLEASE check out the IMDB for it & the website (you can watch a trailer):

Dear college students,
I need your help in getting people to go see "Exit Speed" in September (after the Aug 26th premiere in Dallas). Below is a list of theatres where we know for sure it will be playing (and when). Many are near colleges where you might know someone (or know someone who knows someone or are in a nearby Facebook neighborhood, etc). We will consider special events or promotions whereby, for example, someone arranges to get 10 friends to see this action-packed movie and we give him/her an "Exit Speed" hat or tee or drawstring backpack (and throw in some "Exit Speed" pens for the friends who go). So let me know if you can line up something like that.
It would make a good roadtrip outing or bonding opportunity. The movie has great characters and tons of action. It was shot entirely in Texas.
Since our advertising budget is not as big as the major studios, our distributor is urging us to get the word out virally. Please pass this on to other college students as I don't have everyone's e-dress. And you all know people all over the country now. Thank you!!!!
Here are the theatres:
-Sept 5-11: Rogers Towne Cinema in Rogers, Ark (by the Uof Ark).
--Sept 12-18: Cinemark 17 in Tulsa
Carmike 6 in Muskogee
Regal Eastside and Regal Cottonwood in Albuquerque
Carmike 20 in Edinburg
Cinemark 17 in Harlingen
Cinemark 17 in Brownsville
and 3 theatres in El Paso: Carmike 16, Cinemark Cielo Vista, and Cinema Services Basset.

We hope you and your friends and acquaintances will make time to see and enjoy the show!

I'd love to go see that. Unfortunately, i'm no where near any of those. Are they still looking for "indie" theaters to show it in? The Tara here in Atlanta specializes in smaller production films. Wish I could go see it, it looks like fun. :D

edit: If not, guess i'll just have to buy it on DVD.

I'd go see it, but I'm nowhere near any of those places...
