Man, I'm REALLY surprised there's not one of these. So...yeah. Talk about anything from WWE to TNA to NOAH to random indy promotions. Match postage, news, all that crap.

Antonio Inoki would have kicked Ali's ass.

Antonio Inoki would have kicked Ali's ass.

That was a publicity stunt more than anything. Quite different from Pride FC, K-1 and such.

K-1's judges are crooked. I'm not sure about Pride, since I don't watch it enough. As for America's UFC, it feels a little superficial on the "tough guy" element for me to find entertaining, though it's not as bad as pro wrestling.

JP wrestling is strange in the characters they add in. More female wrestlers, though.

I've seen a bit of UFC, and I must say that I wasn't particularly impressed. Sure, these guys are tough. I mean, they can take a high velocity punch to the head and not be so much as dazed. Still, I'd rather watch something a little more graceful than what looks like puting two truckers into a cage and seeing who knocks who out first.

Antonio Inoki kicked Ali's ass.

Fixed it

It was supposed to be just a worked publicity stunt, But it worked too well. It went from a worked shoot to a real one, the People wanted to settle once and for all which was better, the wrestler or the boxer.

Ali's management got worried, They knew if Inoki got a hold on Ali it would be over in a flash. They put a clause in the contract so their boy couldn't lose, a clause that stated that Inoki could not use any grappling moves or suplexes whatsoever. This eliminated Inoki's entire offense, which should have make him a sitting duck for Ali, but Inoki still had one weapon, the dropkick and dammit he was going to use it!

Anyone who saw that match knows that Inoki just kept dropkicking Ali's knee. Eventually Ali couldn't continue, So Inoki effectively won.

Alot of speculation says that It wasn't Ali's management that wanted the clause put into the contract, it was the Mafia who didn't want a Big american boxer losing to a little Japanese wrestler.

Either Way, Inoki won.

Oh, and I'm a big Joshi Puroresu fan

I thought it ended in a tie; but thanks for the info. Boxer's knees aren't very good in condition on account of stiff foot work. I watched some old JP pururesu videos and saw the "8 queens match" or something, with Aja Kong and Dynamite Kansai...both of which obviously owned with their massive builds.

"OMG HERE COMES THE SPLASH MOUNTAIN!" (crowd cheers)

^Dynamite Kansai's special slam

YES! Aja Kong and Dynamite Kansai ruled! I take it the 8 queens match was the Thunderqueen battle, right? I want to see that match so badly, as its probably the best multi-woman match ever filmed.

I know WWE wound up bringing in some AJW talent in the mid-'90s (around '94 or '95) for awhile but who all was it? I know of Bull Nakano (or was she not AJW?) and Aja Kong but that's about it.

Bull came over first, She became women's champion and made that title worth something for alittle while (If you want the greatest WWE women't title match in history, let me know and I'll post it up)

Then They brought in Aja Kong, Lioness Asuka, Tomoko Watanabe, Chapparita ASARI, Sakie Hasegawa, and Kyoko Inoue over for Suvivor Series 95. Madusa was supposed to feud with Aja over the title, but after Aja got alittle too stiff with ASARI in a match on Raw (busted ASARI's nose), Madusa bailed to WCW (all because she just had he nose redone and didn't want to get it messed up by Aja). Henceforth, the WWE Women's title has meant nothing, and has never had anyone worthy of the name Champion hold it.

Eh, actually I'm kind of looking for some Ayako Hamada and Mariko Yoshida stuff. Yoshida especially since I've heard she's pretty good.

Well, I'm uploading a Hamada match for you at the moment, I don't have anything with Yoshida on my HD unfortunately. I wish knew how to rip matches off my DVDs I have 2 of her best matches on DVD

EDIT: Yousendit.com isn't working properly, so It may take time to get the match posted. I've tried 2 times already and it keeps screwing up
