Dreams and Nightmares

I just had a crazy dream last night, and I thought I'd make a thread about it where we can talk about dreams/nightmares.

Last night was probably the creepiest dream I've ever had. I can't say if it's because of the subject matter, or if it was because it seemed so real.

I was in school, and someone had told me that I was going to be arrested for murder. I laughed it off, but they had a serious look on their face. I asked them what they were talking about, and they said that there was a warrant out for my arrest and that they were coming to arrest me in school before I went anywhere. My class got out, and just as I was leaving, a group of men came and arrested me. The scary thing was, a few of them were my friends who were interested in law enforcement, so I was convinced that they thought I was really the bad guy.

For some reason, however, we didn't leave the building. I'm not sure why, but we didn't. We went over all the reasons why there was no way I could possibly be the murderer, but one cop kept saying "leave it for the judge". So I get put into a holding cell for the night. Luckily the only other people there had no intention of raping me, so I was safe. We got along and they were like "wtf, you're not a killer."

It seemed so real, it was scary. I was thinking about all the ways I would have to defend myself in jail. I'm a tough person to a bunch of suburbanites, but to hardcore criminals? I was fucked. And I knew it. And I knew I'd have to be in jail until I was proven innocent; which I would be. I just knew it. The whole time though, I didn't think I was dreaming. Everything had seemed so realistic that I thought I was accused for killing a man.

Just as I was about to go to real jail, my dog kicked me in the head. I woke up, and practically cried tears of joy. That was one hellish experience I hope to never actually go through.

It's not the rape thing that freaks me out... if I'm going to be in jail for the rest of my life, I want it to be for something meaningful, ya know? If I'm going to be in jail for killing a guy, I want it to be because I actually killed him.

That's what freaked me out the most XD I didn't even get a chance to do that much.

I hate dreams where people are chasing me. All of my "nightmarish" "creepy" dreams are that way.

One time I had a dream that I was in my old town and it was night time. I was walking down the road and I remember that there were houses on one side of the road and a hill on the other side. The side of the road with the houses had the sidewalk I was walking on. Anyway, I was walking down hill when out of no where a raptor started chasing me. So as I was running, I all of a sudden got on all fours and was running like 20x faster. I kept going until I reached the end of the road (which was a big circle and still is at my old neighborhood) and by the time I turned around, the raptors were gone. The funny thing about the dream, aside from being chased. is all the houses had their garage doors open showing like...rich suburban people with their powertools in their garages and stuff but no one was actually in the garage. Just garage doors open with the garage lights on and I couldn't go down the hill because down the hill across the street from the houses led to a cliff then the lake. For this dream, it wasn't so much the fact that I was being chased as it was the details of the neighborhood and how real it felt. I know for a fact though that I can't run on all fours.

And creepy dreams suck, good thing they're not real, eh? :)

The only dreams that bother me are dreams within dreams that try and trick me into thinking I woke up and then decided to continue doing absurd things.

The reason they bother me is because when I finally do wake up, while I'm still groggy, I get confused as to wether or not I actually want to do whatever absurd thing it is I was doing.

For example:
1. Dream: -I start eating a shoe.-
2. I "wake up" during the dream: "Oh, hey, I was dreaming about eating a shoe. Well, actually, I could go for one right now." -I start eating a shoe.-
3. I wake up for real: "Ugh... wasn't I going to... eat a shoe? Wait... what?"

Those kind of dreams get to me too, because when I wake up I end up referencing what I had done in my dream as a real event and it turns into a circle of confusion

It had already been resurrected 2 months ago. Ha, i don't even know why i posted it though... just thought i remembered talking about dreams and nightmares just a short while back, so i had to check. QWhatev3rs!!1

I did have a weird dream last night tho... something about being blasted through a big tube into a lake... iono.

Last night I had this weird dream that I had these tigers for pets and I forgot to feed them so I had to leave my apartment because they kept biting me, or trying to bite me.

I had a dream that my chimney was leaking and as a "last defense" my mother set up three very large bowls to collect the water.

When I awoke from the dream I discovered that my chimney was leaking and as a "last defense" my mother set up three very large bowls to collect the water.

the other night i had my first nightmare in years, most of the problems i have at night are before i fall asleep. but in this dream there's this little girl lying on her bed ready to go to sleep when this hag flies in and starts frightening her claiming "I will disturb you!" in this ghoulish voice (I notice that this is a little stupid) and the little girl keeps telling her that she isn't real and she flickers in and out, the young girl's grandmother comes in the room and sees the girl seemingly staring into space and yelling at something that is not there. The girl looks at her grandmother and tells her what is going on, the grandmother tells her that she is proud of her strength. The girl keeps fighting (she looks strangely like the witch in Tin Man) and slowly loses her strength and starts to cry, as she dissolves into tears the grandmother starts to see the hag and this delights her as she proclaims "My work is done, I have now ruined the lives of a family."

i woke up after that, i think i dreamt that because it was so hot in my room...

My friends lately have been really worried about me and my sleeping, for the first 2 weeks of this holiday period i havent been going to be until about 1-2am because parties and most of the time im going to be still coming down from beer and well the other things, and well thats the only way im sleeping well. Before the beer and partying and such i was either not dreaming at all or i was having bad/annoying dreams about just i dont know what, mostly me alone in a room, then thats where it ends.

They reckon it extends from my break up that i should have taken as harshly as i did as well as my mind set that im going to end up alone, not my fault something that i have held for awhile, i know it isnt true but it obvioulsy comes out in my dreams and subconcious.

Its getting better atleast.

As for bad dreams, before this i never really had them, nightmares occasionaly but it was when something was bothering me extremely badly.

I've dreamt a couple of times that I had powers of god. Also I once dreamt that I was a/the devil and I had a huge harem. Too bad I don't remember more details about those dreams. Also few years back I saw a dream where I went to our houses hallway and suddenly there's this high pitched constant noise (like tinnitus) and suddenly an elephant appears out of nowhere and eats me. I wake up all sweatty and I was pretty much thinking WTF all morning.
