Man collared for kicking 5-year-old girl in face

FUKUOKA -- A man who kicked a 5-year-old girl in the face at a train station here has been arrested, police said.

Arrested on suspicion of assault was Nobuyoshi Abe, 47, a resident of Fukuoka's Higashi-ku. He has reportedly admitted to the allegations against him.

Police said that Abe approached a woman who was with her 5-year-old daughter in a pharmacy at Chihaya Station in Higashi-ku at about 10 p.m. on Sunday, and kicked the young girl in the face.

After the attack, Abe continued to walk toward the station platform, but a police officer who arrived at the scene arrested him. Police are continuing to question Abe over his motives for the attack.

That's......so random. I'm entirely too bemused to be horrified by that.

I also started laughing when I saw this on mainichi... then I was like "wait, somebody kicked a 5 year old in the face, that's fucked up."

I just think mainichi has a way with making headlines funny when they really shouldn't be.:watson:

Hey man, even the best parents can have a hard time chasing down their kids. The toddler could have just ran out there before mom or dad had a chance to grab her.

Anyway, did I miss something on that article? Did the guy even say why he kicked the girl? O_o

Wtf? Why would you post that version when the Street Fighter version (http://youtube.com/watch?v=L2pB4VnD5IQ) is so much better?

Oh, now I see why. I watched it again and I forgot the SF version makes you crack up.

You're not supposed to take it seriously. It's a movie that was basically created to be made fun of, like Snakes on a Plane.

I would blame society and television for that type of assumption. They take incidents like that and turn it into a form of entertainment instead of a sympathetic view.

The story the OP posted was something done intentionally, I think. That's messed up, but if its something more along the lines of an accident that involved a little kid getting hit(and no real injury occurred) then it equals funny. One is an adult taking out their aggression on a child while the other is just happenstance.

Did i say I was stuck in the fight scenes? If the rest of the movie is boring and pompous and the fight scenes aren't, the movie as a whole is boring and pompous.

Well the fight scenes were boring and pompous too. But that's what was great about it. It's a movie you watch once, and then make fun of it for being so bad for the rest of your life.
