That bill is stupid. At my college you can't use P2P file sharing programs because they block/disable the TCP/UDP ports that are used for filing sharing. Why can't other colleges do this?

Why should schools have to provide an alternative to something that's illegal? Crack and prostitution are illegal, but I don't see schools handing out beer and fleshlights as alternatives.

The schools should just be able to give students a piece of paper that says "Stop stealing, you dumb fucks." as their alternative.

They aren't doing it on their dime. It's basically forced customers for napster or whatever service, as the students are charged by the school automatically for it.

Medical Academy PCs are equipped with a MiuTorrent on each machine but that`s not the point. :P If I tried to download anything larger than an e-book there it will hurt the internet so hard all the other computers would stall.
