If I don't get into JET which of these isn't nightmarish as everyone has said NOVA is?

Just remember that the eikaiwas are businesses and are usually run as such. Depending on what you're expecting and where you're working you might have a good time or it might be a nightmare.

well like i said it really depends; I'm not sure if there are any other programs that will let you work in public schools. People's experience at eikaiwa really varies. Just do some searches and you'll probably find plenty of personal accounts of people who have worked for the major eikaiwas.

Hmm, I did some searches and haven't found many good things about any of the eikaiwas that I have looked up thus far. I guess I'll cross my fingers for JET. >.o

Ask Dana. She works in public schools but did a program other than JET. She even got the summer off...she seemed pretty happy with it.

Ahhh, alright. Thanks to the last two replies. I'll look into it. I think I'm satisfied enough for now. I've got to focus on reworking my B.A. now. The fawking advisers set me back four semesters apparently. I wish if they didn't know they wouldn't say anything, because now its going to take me two and a half years, including summer, to get the degree that I thought I was only a year away from. Oh well, such is life.

But again, thanks, I'll check it out and figure out what I'll do in a few years.
