I think if Az does appear in MegaTokyo it should be like he is on one of his spur of the moment trips around Japan. what do you guys think?

I hope to god you're kidding because if you don't you live under a rock.

I'd be interesting to see a large black man in a cast of tiny white and asian people done in an anime style.

I remember megatokyo being funny, instead of looking like a 15 year old's TOTALLY AWESOME fanfic. It SUCKS. Way too damn serious.

I like it. Some of the jokes are really funny. I don't consider myself as a fan though... I quit reading it a long time ago. It seems like the more they came out with, the more less funny they became. I think they are just trying too hard now.

lol might actually work. I liked Megatokyo a lot, but at some point I got fed up with waiting weekly for one or two pages, and decided to wait a good month or two to read more at one time. Problem is I forgot about it, and when I went back I completely forgot where I left off...

I recomend buying 2 copies.
I lent mine to a friend, have not got them back since, and apparently 2 are lost and one has a coffee cup stain on it.

It's not a good webcomic to start with. There ARE better mangas.

I don't know why anyone would want to buy it when they can read the entire thing on their website for free. D:

Because reading it as a book is fun.
Kobun, there are better ones, but it doesn't stop MT from being fairly good as far as I'm concerned.

I still have a good few more traditional manga books on my bookshelf :)

Personally I don't like people trying to mimc the traditional anime style- why not come up with something more distinctive, something that is more unique to yourself? That was one thing that turned me off when I tried MegaTokyo- it just mucking up all the anime/manga clichés with so many repetitive/useless characters turned myself away completely. I guess some may find it ot be fairly good, but why settle for less when there are better stuff?

On top of my head, I can heartily recommend-

Battle Angle Alita/Ghost in the Shell/Akira/Domu/Blade of the Immortal/Gantz/Berserk/Detective Conan/Slam Dunk/Vagabond/Master Keaton/Monster/20th Century Boys, etc.

I don't really read shojo stuff, by the way.

Try "Blue" by Kiriko Nananan. It's a different breed of shojo manga.
